GETTING RID OF PAINT IN SAN DIEGO

Looking on the internet for how to get rid of left over paint water in San Diego. This is the last business day of the year pretty much and here we go into 2012. This is is the water with paint left over from my bedroom.

I have been wanting to deal with this for about three weeks. It is one yellow can, from Goldmine Natural Foods, and one five gallon white bucket that have been sitting in the area outside my room.

I called the Hazardous Waste # about three weeks ago. I have to start over on this call. Environmental services have too many calls to answer.

SO...I AM LOOKING UP ONLINE HOW TO GET RID OF PAINT

This is supposedly Non VOC paint. Envirocote, I believe it is called. The combination of breathing in this fresh pain and have Roundup Herbicide sprayed at the same time in our backyard was enough to give me a headache for four days. Every time I slept in the newly painted room, I got a headache.

The first night following being exposed to Roundup and the newly painted room was some of the worst headache of my life.

I have been using a BioSmart Cup to transfer the white paint water into five plastic containers. There is one more to go and I will be done with this part of the project.

I am overdue for a nap.

I need to rest.

I will finish the job when I get up from the nap.

Must lay down.

I remember something about a place just open on Saturday mornings.

I did talk to someone there a few weeks ago.

DISPOSING OF WATER BASED PAINT

Disposing of water-based paint. If there is only a little left in the can, dry it out by stirring in a paint hardener or an absorbent material such as cat litter, mulch, sand or sawdust. Allow it to dry completely in a well-ventilated area. Once dry, double-wrap the container in newspaper (with the lid removed), bag it and throw it out in the regular trash. Oil-based paint should not be disposed of in the regular trash; wait for an opportunity to drop it off at a recycling center.
