I have a new friend who is helping to construct the scaffolding
for the Red Bull Event, December 31, 2011.
It got me thinking
about my history with the San Diego Convention Center.
I have done ceremony work at the Amphitheatre in back of the
San Diego Convention Center.

ABOUT THE RED BULL CHALLENGE
Red Bull New Years Eve no limit is back this year and it’s twice as good! Last year Levi Lavellee was scheduled to jump his snow mobile but got injured in a practice leading up to the event. This year he is healed up and ready to join Robbie Maddison while he jumps his dirt bike along with Levi.
A motorcycle and a snowmobile will simultaneously fly over water in the latest installment of Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. This year will bring together two incredible athletes who have found their way back to the annual New Year’s Eve celebration via different paths.
The event will air live from San Diego, California, on Saturday, December 31 at approximately11 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT on ESPN, ESPNHD and ESPN3, immediately following the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
Levi LaVallee has fully recovered from a crash suffered while training for the same event last year just hours after shattering the world record with a leap of 361 feet on a snowmobile. Robbie Maddison (pictured below) kick-started the series in 2007 by jumping his motorcycle 322 feet over a football field in Las Vegas and followed it up in 2008 byjumping onto- and off of the 96 foot-tall Arc De Triomphe at Paris Las Vegas.
This year, LaVallee, a 28-year-old native of Longville, Minnesota, will jump his snowmobile alongside Maddison, a 30-year-old Aussie now living in Temecula, California, who will pilot his motorcycle as both athletes concurrently jump over 300 feet of water from the North park to the South park at the Embarcadero Marina Park in the downtown area of San Diego Bay.

This photo was taken the first year the San Diego Convention Center opened. I was doing ceremony work here at the Amphitheatre in Memorial Day 1990. That is an aloe vera plant in the center. This was an incredible mystical story. I will tell it when I have time.
