"If this was public land,
an Environmental Impact Report would have needed to be filed."
--Liora Leah, Mother Earth Heals

"instead of spraying Roundup and other herbicides in the state parks and national parks, they should be hiring unemployed young people to go undesirable weeds the good old fashioned way as they did in the 30's. That is what FDR did. They made the dirt trails. They built the trails. They cleared Brush. It was hard work, but that is what they did with the unemployed. Why can't we employ the youth. Have the youth remove the underbrush, all can be done with hard physical labor. The government can pay them to do it. The money could be made available to city as well, to remove unwanted plants by hand using hand tools."rather than spraying toxic weed killer, rather than doing it by hand. Same thing with Arundo. A fund needs to be established so the homeowners do not have to be burdened. The City has down its homework. The City needs to contribute financial assistance to the homeowners in order to establish an Arundo Removal program that takes into account the health of the humans and health of the canyon. This would include finding non toxic solutions to reducing the fire hazard zone. Because it is in the best interest of the city and the county for the fire prevention, the full cost should not be fully with the homeowner. Why should the homeowner have full burden. Chopped down, not removed. program where arundo chopped down before the start of fire season. Require long standing funding source from city and county. Only environmental solution. Longterm?
identify its uses...only possible source reeds...

I feel dizzy with Roundup Herbicide in my head now.
I feel light headed.

Good neighbor and I were in a discussion while licensed brush manager was off in a distance spraying. I felt the wind, and now I am lightheaded. We negotiated some kind of an agreement about one area where we will "solarize" with black plastic rather than spray, but the spray up is in my head from a distance of 20 feet.

I do not...
