The fifth World Festival of Sacred Music celebrates the power of music to promote global harmony. This year's festival highlights the environmental crisis in the Pacific Islands, where global warming has caused the tide levels to rise, threatening to destroy the islands. The festival kicks off at Santa Monica beach with an opening ceremony to honor the sea with a musical procession to the shore's edge.
