Began the day today
in high spirits writing this.
Then went on spend many
hours on this Plant Your Dream Blog
that sets a tone for my upcoming trip.
My spirit left me when I did not rest enough
and got into some dark positions of the FDA
on where they stand about Food Freedom.

August 23 in Washington D.C.
was a Wake Up Call for how to
live in Earthquake Country.

A Shift has happened.

On the same day,
3000 miles away,
at Enchanted Garden Headquarters
a stand of Arundo Donax, AKA
bamboo cane, identified as an invasive species
that has allowed hundreds over the years
to imagine they were in a different world
because of the curtain of privacy it provided
was being considered for Round Up Ready
extinction.

The use of Round Up Ready to kill the
invasive roots of this plant is the common
procedure. Even in parks where they have moved
away from the use of herbicides so that
wildlife and children might be protected,
Round Up is still the common procedure
for removing the Arundo Donax,
AKA bamboo cane. It is a grass.

This potential plan for plant extinction
here by means of Round Up
caused, the plant world
to get a bit shaken up, resulting in the
tremors felt back East.

Such is the world from Keep The Beet Media
Star, The World's First Czarina of Foods
who, as the curtain rises on her
Rock Your Soul Opera, called
Beet Keepers, Return,
is now vying for official recognition
from the White House.

Keep The Beet is here to help
join the President Barack Obama re-election
campaign.

This is the world from the Garden.

She wants to thank Michelle,
one of her close friends, for admitting
that as of 2010, she and her husband felt
they did not have the "beet" gene,
but in fairness, would plant beats anyway
in the White House Organic Garden.

This, of course, was exactly what Keep The Beet
was wanting.

Afterall, if Michelle and Barack had too much love
for eating organic beets, the Rock Ypul Opera would be
over.

Keep The Beet is asking each of us
to grow a beet in a pot so we can get our beat back
with nature.

MEANWHILE HERE IN SAN DIEGO...

Leslie, Your Enchanted Garden is going out
to load some of the Arundo Donax, into the black cans
that go out in a couple hours as part of our
trash collection.

Angelene, one of the house members,
would prefer to compost the rich source of
biofuels, that also enrich the soil.

"It makes some of my most luscious plant food
when it falls apart. I do not like to send it to the
land fill. "


National sponosors of the Beet Keepers, Return!
are now rising to the occasion to help support
research to suggest to the advance thinking
San Diego Fire Department, one of the best in
our nation, that there are approached to getting
rid of the Arundo roots without Round Up Ready
herbicide killer.

Keep The Beet is telling us that
Round Up Ready will be outlawed with five years,
so encouraging its use is not her call.

She, however, says, that the citizens of San Diego
need not fear a fire here, nor an earth quake too soon,
unless the Round Up Ready gets out of hand.

In that case the grasses, among them,
Arundo Donax, will go on to
do a bit more of their Rock Your Soul
Opera.

we will advance the cause of community building
among our neighbors, working in sync with

to find solutions.
