If Dr. Bernard Jensen (1907-2001) was dead today, he would likely
be rolling around in his grave. Gratefully, men like Dr.Bernard Jensen,
D.C, Phd, a man who loved his raw fresh goat's milk, is still alive
through the quality of ethical and moral integrity, that permeated
through the core of his soul being into the world.

He belonged to a different generation of leadership. I knew the man
well. I call him my spiritual father.

At the age of 87, He discovered he had cancer. He took his own
medicine. He was a master of the natural healing arts. Natural in his day
meant whole, pure, beyond organic, fresh.

He knew organic to be a lifestyle more than a product, although
in his later days he promoted products too, including more than 50 books
he wrote. He left a legacy of moral and ethical teachings, some underscored
in my own understandings.

It is about a week after the Rawesome raid in Venice.
I do not like to be privy to the kind of information that has been rolling
around my head since day one. I keep looking for the leadership within
Rawesome to be standing up, but I am from a different city to the South,
San Diego, and I do not know the Rawesome folks personally, but maybe
for a few.

Dr. Bernard Jensen was a fighter, but mainly he was a lover. He stood
up for truth. Truth is needed now in this Rawesome case, and it has
to begin with those who are the insiders to the information and facts
about this case.

Perhaps they are talking and coming up with strategy. I do not know.
No one has invited me into the inner circles.

I can only say, there are no secrets about this case.
Anyone with a bit of ability to do internet research can find all the
information they need. The information is not all pretty.

I for one, have done enough FDA bashing in my time. I spent
about 1000 hours getting a degree in Washington D.C. politics,
and studying the close tie ins between Monsanto, the international
Codex Alimentarius Commission Trade manuevers, and Michael
R. Taylor, our esteemed Food Czar, who has in finger in most
things that relate to Food and Drug preferences. I blogged
heavily on s-510, the Food Safety Modernization act, and if
the cards fall right, I may pay a trip to Washington D.C. for an
few hours, when I head East September 20 for the Natural Product,
September 21=24.

All I can say is, there is a level of moral and ethical courage
needed now. We, as a movement, need to be policing ourselves.
We need to be saying things and upholding standards of organic
that includes moral and ethical concerns.

We all need to be in a Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food,
and have decorum when it comes to our capacity to listen
and hear all points of view.

There was a time in Dr.Bernard Jensen's life when he was
arrested and thrown in jail. He had gone out on a limb and started to say
that with green juices he could improve cancer. When the case
came to court, his own arguments and charisma were so convincing that
the judge and prosecutor ended up buying one of his favorite juicers
and went green inside themselves. The case was thrown out of court.

Dr.Bernard Jensen was a great believer in raw, fresh, organic goat's milk.
He said he could raise the dead with it. He also spoke out often
against the dangers of pasteurized milk, in a time before Big Ag
and hormones in milk had the upper hand as much as they do today.

The Rawesome Raid case has brought to light issues and
concerns that we are all asked to face now as a movement,
as a willing participants in governing ourselves and being apart
of a great nation that has at is core a constitution and Bill of Rights.

And yet to stand up for the truth today, takes deep moral
and ethical courage. Dr. Bernard Jensen sends his Blessings
that we each find that courage now.

What Washington knows about food has no ground from a beet's point of view. The cornerstone of authentic food safety is first of all, growing some of your own food, and second, having a personal relationship with the farmers growing the rest of your food. This is an ideal. How many of us live in places like San Diego where we can grow food 12 months of the year and get to know more than 100 local farmers by name?

OVERVIEW


To leave the Fate of the Future of Real Food Safety to the decision making capacity of 100 men and women U.S. Senators, 435 House members and Food Safety Policy Makers who may never have shopped their local Farmers' Market or delighted in the taste of butter from contented cows would be an error in judgement. To imagine that Washington legislators, who may never have delighted in leafy greens fresh picked that morning, contamination free, are suited to make the call on what we who sing "America The Beautiful" will eat tomorrow is faulty logic. Food is ours. All of ours. It is time to Chew on Food Safety. A National Conversation has begun. Let all of us, GE Lovers, Organic food Lovers, Conventional Food Growers, sit down and enter into an honest and honoring Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food.

Let us give thanks and praise our Unity in Diversity as a nation. Let us be grateful that it is an America value to converse before we vote. We can take time to discuss with each other why we all need real food safety based on principles of Sound Health and Healing that have been with us since the beginning of dinner on planet earth. New Food Rules. We call for these now: Food Rules that are in harmony with the beat of nature. New agreements about what laws we ask our FDA to enforce to protect the bounty of our diverse seeds. We believe that can pave the way to economic renewal that is grounded and rooted in American ideals through turning our beat around with nature. We want support in growing a bit of our own food. We want support for community gardens. We want to co-create true earth-based Homeland Security through supporting 1000's of micro-farms. Vegetables do not lie. We can live with it if some of our micro-farmers are not regulated by national or international Food Rules and Regulations. We, who know our foods and know our farmers, have the adulthood to decide what we want to eat. We do not need our FDA to mandate rules for the foods that we want to eat and have been safely eaten since we crawled out of the sea.

We express a new bill of what is right now to participate in our own government. We ask you to chew with us, to dine with us, to see what local, fresh, organic is all about as we create real food safety for our children and for people of the world everywhere. This is the kind of fair trade we stand up for. This is the kind of agreements we as one incorporated humanity ask for. We ask you, our honored elected representatives to eat and digest with us what is being said here.

All people, here and everywhere deserve good food as a human right.
