Gerry Keskeys - Adult

Gerry Keskeys has devoted over 1,200 hours to establish green spaces in urban San Diego. With Gerry’s support, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) transformed a 2.3 acre vacant lot into New Roots Community Farm, land where low-income community members can grow their own food. During Gerry’s three years of volunteering, the site has established community education components, including adjacent habitat restoration, a multi-lingual outdoor classroom and a compost education site. Nonprofit of choice: Grow
