INTRO
I am short on time, this morning,
and need to turn my attention to prepping
for a trip. I wish I had time to develop this Plant
Your Dream Blog thoroughly.
Cut to the Chase:
Suzie's Farm of San Diego,
and its sister Company Sun Grown Organics,
produce some of the finest local grown
and loved foods in our neck of the woods.
We are blessed in San Diego to have an array
of farm fresh and safe sprouts from Sun Grown.
I will be at the Summer Solstice Celebration
at Suzies On June 25, and invite a handful of you
to join me here at the Enchanted Garden, the last Sunday
of the Month, June 26. Sign in now for that event please.
12 of us gathering works best.
I am so grateful that we have Suzie's farm and these wonderful
sprouts and microgreens from Sun Grown.
Thanks to all of our local organic farmers in San DIego,
and my Beet Keeper, Return, local organic farmers who keep
our community wealthy in health.

Leslie Goldman
Your Enchanted Gardener
INTRO
In my years as an editor and co-author of books
for world renowned Dr. Bernard Jensen (1907-2001),
an elder pioneer of the Natural Healing Arts
and Nutrition, who lived in San Diego,
we wrote together "The Healing Power
of Chlorophyll from Plant Life," and "Survive This Day."
These two books touted four survival foods that included
chlorophyll--the green rich blood of plants--
as well as life giving seeds, berries, and sprouts.
Dr. Bernard Jensen spent more than 65 years on the front line
of preventive health, helping more than 350,000 patients improve their
life through learning again Nature's Original Technology.
The two books name Survival Laws for building a more beautiful
world--a world I call the Enchanted Garden.
Among the laws are these:
Food is in a state of vibration.
"Man" is in a state of vibration.
That's life itself.
The ideal is to eat the food at its highest vibrational
level, so we can pick up the higher vibration it has.
The plant should be "right" so we can have it build us right.
--Survival Law #33, p 131,
"Survive This Day"
I see the next 1000 years as a time of fulfillment for humanity.
These very days as a time for an Organic Uprising
and forces collide, some forces that
would prefer we have hygienic and sanitized agriculture
and a race of dumbed down people who hardly
have the micro-nutrients and healthy foods
that it takes to Plant Your Dream.
Each of us who are to "Survive This Day"
and Thrive. "Shift" happens. Choose your
food and your path.
We are in a crisis moment.
Good will come from this moment
as we apply the Survival Laws
that help the humble, the loving,
cooperate.
In San Diego, we are gaining ground
with the because so many good organic farmers
and community grounds are working together.
I want to especially thank Lucila and Robin
of Suzie's and Sun Grown now because
in the months again there is going to be a lot
of pressure on the thier Sprout business.
I for one support Suzie's quality and intregity
and those these veggies and their sprouts.
I totally trust these foods from personal experience.
reestablish and regain ground.
ON THE RECENT CITY COUNCIL
DECISION TO SUPPORT MORE COMMUNITY GARDENS
This process of regaining ground was celebrated a few weeks ago
at the San Diego City Council. I have not had the time
to congratulate the council members or the community!
I want to do that now.
The issue of creating more community gardens was up.
We, the "public" as the "Council members called us,
wanted gardens without permits. The Council said yes
unanimously.
It was a day of great
celebration as both the council and grassroots advocates
joined forces to make a better city. We have much to
celebrate now and this Summer Solstice.
Council President Tony Young said that
in his own neighborhoods there were not enough supermarkets
to feed more than 160,000 people. He agreed with Diane Moss
and the People Produce Project who knew they could grow food
themselves to feed areas of San Diego that are now called "Food Deserts."
The truth is, we are all living in a Food Desert in San Diego
and in the US, but for the growing numbers of us
who support the Farmers' Markets and grow some of our
own food.
We are in a Food Emergency. Only some of us know it.
Many people do not know how to eat,
Many who live locally, enjoy
the bounty of fresh Farmers' Market produce.
Meanwhile there is
a War against Organic due to the growing popularity
of this billion dollar growth industry.
There are forces at work that do not want people growing their
own food or partaking of the bounty that our
local organic farmers can produce.
There are forces in the world
guiding the US government that would like us to live
in a Hygienic world, a world where our food is grown by people
who wear white masks, and attempt to control bacteria,
Tools of science have produced anti-biotics,
and created by-products called MRSA
and e-coli bacteria that are so
powerful that only through knowing the Survival Laws,
can any of us survive or thrive.
Dr. Bernard Jensen called the bacteria nature's Undertakers.
When we get with the natural program, we recognize that bacteria
and all the little life given processes of soil decomposition are part
of the life cycle.
Bacteria helps to take food back to the earth through composting,
we would never have gotten this far in evolution
without being part of "The Wheel of Health."
COLLIDING FORCES
There are two dominant forces today and they are colliding
in our food world. You have people in the camp
of Dr. Bernard Jensen who believed and taught freshness,
and whole, pure, and natural; he was more into nutrition per acre than profit per acre. He was more into Prophets per acre than profits.
He knew food was dream making substance, here
to give us the power to "Plant Your Dream."
On the other hand we have forces in the world now,
who would like us all to get so scared of nature
and her processes,
that we accept that only through big pharma,
and medical procedures,
and foods with an "eternal Shelf life"
through chemistry and preservatives
can we get by. Dr. Jensen taught that food is
meant to rot, but not putrify.
The key is paying attention to what we are doing.
Sprouting is an art as a science.
It may not fit big, big Ag approaches
as was the problem in Germany where many died
and were harmed.
The source of the problem in Germany as
well traced to anti-biotics that could no longer
defend against E. Coli. We created superbugs
through factory farming, and perhaps worse!
I am personally not convinced that this
super bug resistant strain of E. Coli was not
engineered to create more business!!!
Sorry.
In recent days, I now see headlines
filled with stories of people "satirically"
calling for a moratorium on organic farming.
In Germany we were give cause for alarm.
Many innocent people died of poorly grown "commercial" sprouts.
Sprouts, grown for commercial gain, hooked up with systems of Big Ag
that bred super resistant E. Coli bacteria.
The E-coli bacteria so anti-biotic resistant that more
than 31 people died, and 3000 made ill.
NOTE THAT THIS ANTI SPROUT ARTICLE
APPEARS ON THE BUSINESS PAGE OF THE
NEW YORK TIMES, RATHER THAN THE
HEALTH PAGE.
To demonize fresh vegetables and convince people that the only safe food is dead food. So through this campaign of destructive rumor-mongering, European health authorities can steer people away from eating the very things that help keep them healthy: Fresh vegetables and sprouts, all of which contain natural medicines and phytonutrients that prevent diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer's.
On other other hand, you have systems of healthy San Diego Local farms,
managed by caring, loving, doctors of the soil, and caretakers
of our food who are doing what they are doing to help each of us have life sustaining foods to bring us health.
It is on this note, that I want to pay tribute to the workers and
owners of Suzie's Farm of San Diego,
and their sister company Sun Grown
Organics.
It is a blessing to live in San Diego
where we have a City Council wise
enough to recognize that truly people and farms
can help us Survive This Day.
It is a blessing to have farms and sprout growers such as
Sun Grown, who understand the care and requirements
needed to bring our community an array of life living sprouts
and micro greens+.
In the Book "Survive This Day,' Dr. Bernard Jensen's
identifies Sprouts and one of the four basic Survival Foods.
Today he is smiling on Susie's Farm and Sun Grown Orgnanics.
He is saying carry on, and calling for our whole community
to support and recognize
the Forces now working in our world.
Blessings and Happy Summer Solstice

NOTES FROM 2009
I wrote this in 2009.
Many links to study.
including this one about the Hygienic approach
taking off in Japan:
FROM SUMMER WRITINGS
ON US BILL HR #2749 by YOUR ENCHANTED GARDENER
Commercial industrial farming and the advances of science
into agriculture lead to fragmented systems of food growing.
These are a by product of errors in judgement as well as practice.
When food becomes an extreme commodity,
the grower and processor are out of step with the beat of nature.
The inherent integrity of what they are doing, loses.
The farming system becomes contaminated.
It it the system itself that is contaminated.
Deaths from peanut butter, or injuries from spinach
are symptoms of an underlying disease condition--
we have strayed from the basic understanding that food growing
and Cultural advancement go hand in hand
and the Farmer and Gardener hear the "beet."
We have lost the vision that Agriculture
is intended to foster culture more than promote Trade.
Who wants to stand out against Food Safety?
That answer is simple. No one in their intelligent mind
is against Food Safety.
There are too many lives at stake.
Both the lives of eaters and a system of growing food
that is older than time, and more inherently Intelligent
than science as we now know it.
We must take time.
We haven't a moment to lose. We do not want a train wreak.
--Leslie Goldman Your Enchanted Gardener
SANITIZING AMERICAN AGRICULTURE
'Foolhardy' approach
"Sanitizing American agriculture, aside from being impossible,
is foolhardy," said UC Berkeley food guru Michael Pollan,
who most recently made his case for smaller-scale farming
in the documentary film "Food, Inc."
"You have to think about what's the logical end point
of looking at food this way. It's food grown indoors hydroponically."
This article appeared on page A - 1 of the San Francisco Chronicle
In order to prevent disease outbreaks caused by unsanitary, confined conditions, factory farms routinely use antibiotics as an ingredient in feed. The systemic overuse of antibiotics in agriculture is encouraging the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria or “superbugs” such as Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) that threaten the efficacy of antibiotics used to treat humans. The World Health Organization (WHO) calls for an end to the use of antibiotics in livestock that compromise human medical care.

CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE WASHINGTON
ON REAL FOOD SAFETY
VIDEOS ON THE NEW PLANT YOUR DREAM WEBSITE http://plantyourdream.net
THESE ARE OUR AIMS
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce. To continue to produce
short video's about foods and shoppers at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market.
To continue to educate shoppers about the use of foods sold by local organic farmers.
1A -To See and Seed the success of the New Roots Community
International Rescue Committee Farm. To help in all ways possible
to tell the story and stand with these farmers and local IRC garden
products, including the Aquaponics Center.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and those who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature. Through learning to live together cooperatively as a household we seek to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet.
Spring 2011 Outreach:
Through growing a simple beet in a pot,
and grow organic alfalfa in pots, we can regain our beat with nature.
Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent rooms. The land, as of June 2011 has a need to be refinanced. b A Trust to hold the land is one idea that has been suggested. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living. This experiment in cooperative living has been going on since the early 1970′s. What we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now. The focus summer 2011 is to create more infra-structure and prepare to be a local community resource through these
Shifting times. We need to begin with ourselves, and here in our backyard.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
5- To accept the mandate, that in San Diego we can model a city
growing its own food. To do all we can in our own backyard to
further this Seed Dream. To work with other groups through outreach,
and create events where the community can join in our extended
community here.
