Reordering More BioSmart Packaging by YourEnchantedGardener .....

This Plant Your Dream Blog started out with the intent to Reorder More BioSmart Packaging

I have been growing the Organic Uprising Campaign
literally in BioSmart Packaging compostable containers.

At the Natural Product Expo West in March
the through the help of Walt Robb, Co-Ceo of
Whole Foods Market, a very kind and generous soul,
the BioSmart Bowl B-3120, the cornerstone of
this project to give kids and adults the confidence
that they can grow a bit of their own food,
made it on to the podium of the prestigious podium
of the Organic Center Banquet where popular
TV hostess Sara Snow had it in full view of the
industry Stakeholders. I send four days doing
photo ops with the alfalfa growing in pots.

The BioSmart bowl B-3120 is the cornerstone of this project for growing
the alfalfa seedlings.

The project began in January when the President
guided his Sec of Ag Tom Villsack, the man who
launched the People's Garden Project--intended
to be organic--to deregulate Genetically Engineered
Alfalfa.

This event--unless stopped--would basically alter
the evolution of one of the most important legumes in
civilization. Alfalfa has been called the Queen of Legumes
and the Father of Foods since ancient times.

On the day, that GE alfalfa was deregulated,
I went into my garden, at the direction of
Keep The Beet Media Star, The World's FIrst Talking Beet Plant
to start gaining familiarity with this powerful seed.

A beautiful piece of Art was born that features
the organic alfalfa growing.

HERE IS THE ART

Since March, I have been growing the alfalfa seeds
that fit grow nicely for a number of weeks in the BIoSmart
Compostable containers.

I am still looking for success at growing the alfalfa in the ground
and learning if it can be transplanted.

At least at this point, kids of all ages (that includes you and I)
can regain our beat with nature, through starting to grow a bit
of our own food.

MAKING BETTER POLITICAL DECISIONS

How is it that the Sec of Ag, Tom Vilsack, a man who has
sponsored some really great projects, including Know Your Food,
Know Your Farmer and the above mentioned People's Garden Project
can go full bore ahead with the Deregulation of Genetically
Engineered Alfalfa?

How is is that our President who has the greatest of organic
proponents in Michelle capable of making such unholy alliances
with GE seeds?

I trace our split to being out of touch with the beat of nature.

I am convinced that if we create a Nation of Gardeners, who can
create a groundswell of support--a Tipping Point--for
the Enchanted Garden--a name for our renewed earth.

One seed at a time, one dream at a time, we can create a more
beautiful world.

We simply have to turn our beat around.

MARCH 11, 2011

March 11--during the Natural Product Expo West in Anheim--
I witnessed more than 500 Organic Stakeholders reach out
across various opinions to seek commonground.

Gary Hirshberg, one of my Organic heroes, underscored
that now was the time. For the sake of our children, we have to
seize this moment.

I see and seed that through collaborations--that through
grassroots to organic industry speaking and getting on the same
page, we can turn our beat around.

BioSmart Packaging--becomes an instrument for this natural
maturation in my mind, as we get more and more school kids
growing alfalfa, and more and more schools and Farmers' Markets
getting introduced to the problems we have created on land as
well as sea.

On that fated day--March 11--5500 miles from Anaheim
where the Organic Stakeholders and allies met, the tsunami
was hitting in Japan.

I do not believe it has sunk in yet--our world is just the same.
We are asked to make a dramatic shift now.

We cannot no longer flower in the direction we were headed.

HERE AT HOME

Here at home, in my own backyard, the shift is unsettling.
I live with eight others on 1/3 acre of land near SDSU.

We have a number of new housemates including
Summer Nash, a 19 year old potentially star volleyball player
who loves our garden. She has been preparing foods since
she was in the fifth grade, and is an outstanding chef!

I see us aiding and assisting the Tipping Point.

I want to continue to ground here at home.

There is much organizing to do.

I will continue my two times a week outreach at the
Hillcrest and North Park Farmers' Markets, and doing
what I can to play a role through my blogging
about community events that are drawing our
local sustainability Community together.

It takes great courage for each of us to accept
that it is our destiny to grow more and more of our own food.

It is our mandate here in San Diego to demonstrate that this is possible
as a city.

I want to thank my Natural Product sponsors for
giving me the time and will to do the basically non-profit
work online and through networking where I can.

I love to interact with the children and their parents at
the Farmers Market.

In recent weeks, I introduced beets to a mom who never knew
what to do with them! This past Sunday, another mom learned
about the virtues of the beet greens. She did not know they were
edible.

We are now living in a world that needs to come home to the
sacred ability of foods. The message of food is Plant Your Dream!
That is what food is here for, to help us see and seed our dreams.

The photos from the recent Hillcrest Farmers Market and
recent Spring Events tell the story of a City, and a local community
come to terms with growing our own food and learning
to collaborate.

I am grateful for the allies I have in the Natural Products Industry.

I am going to fill our kitchen with foods from them and the local
farmers, and reach out, to the extent I find my own grounding,
to help others.

I encourage all who read the Plant Your Dream Blog
to start growing a beet in a pot surrounding my alfalfa seeds.

I ask you to support my sponsors that including BioSmart's-
EarthSmart's Anthony Russo. Men like he--men like the
Organic Stakeholders--are to be lauded for understanding
that through making a success of their dreams, in sync with nature's
Original Technology, we can learn from the errors of our ways.

We can no longer bank on government to show us the way.
We, in our local communities, need to invest in the bank of compost.
Those who call themselves leaders today will be coming to us
for food and education.

Let us prepare through through to collaborate.

This us find ways to be happy and joyful and to be in gratitude
that we can serve this beautiful world that aspires to be
an Enchanted Garden.

Beet Keepers, Return!
