My daily Journey to a healthier life style

April 30, 2011

I felt really nasty, having slept in my clothes over at Christy for last least 2 hours, before getting back up. I at least was able to wash my face and feel a little bit better before I left her house. I knew that I would be at Tri Rivers only for a little while, then I could go home and take a really long shower.

I got the Tri-Rivers around 9:30 a.m., after taking out only $20.00 for plants. I ran into one of the twins (Ashley). I called her Ashley twin in my head sometimes, since I already have a friend named Ashley. She is the daughter of Stella, who is the sister of my friend, Katie, that I have seen in months and months. I stopped hanging out with Katie months ago as I felt it was healthier for me. Ashley used to go to Tri-Rivers and was part of the gardening program, which I had always envied her, as she got to work with plants. Her sister, (the other twin, Brenda) was part of it as well, but Ashley told me went home ill. Ashley showed me around and helped me pick things out. I got one gorgeous plant. It was a petunia, but it was velvet black with 4 yellow stripes. I had never seen one like it before. It was gorgeous! It was the most expensive too. $6.00! I got three herbs, as it was herb week and I wanted some too. I got some Chives, some rosemary and some oregano, as I would use them the most. I would love to get some more herbs, but I want to start off small and build up. Ashley mentioned they had Mint, and I told her I where was that at because I would love to have some mint. She said that they didn't have it in pots, but she could dig me up and get it to me later. I told her that I would really love that, as I would love to make some tea of it and stuff. I got some Impatients, two tomato plants, and two pepper plants (one bell pepper and one hot pepper). It wasn't too bad for $20.00! Plus I have the plant sale that I am going to next weekend too.

I didn't rush home right way. I stopped by Goodwill to see what type of games they had since I was in the area, and Christy and I were talking about Aggravation. I found it! It was only $1.00 and it was a very old one, but in great condition. I found 4 other games, that we could play as well. I found myself an outfit, which made me feel good about myself. I decided to that since I haven't gotten myself anything newer to wear. I thought I should reward myself a little bit for all the hard work I did. I bought two pairs of jeans, and two shirts (that I could layer - a tank top and a long sleeve). I was out longer then I expected, as I was running much later, then I thought, because I had to rush home, take a shower and leave again to watch "The King's Speech" at the library at 2:00 p.m. I was able to grab a couple of strawberries and a handful of leafy greens to eat before I left the house again. That was eating on the run in a healthy way. LOL It was really a good movie. I was really impressed on Colin Frith's acting and that hard part he had to play. It was really impressive. They had a drawing to win the movie afterwards. The next movie they are showing is "True Grit", which I can't wait to see.

After the movie, I texted Christy to see if she was home, because she said that she would text me once she got there. She was home, but forgot to text me. I went over there after work and hung out until later, as she wanted me to take her to Walmart to get groceries once her food stamps were on her card. We played board games and watched movies. When I got really bored, I read some of my book.

I realized that I have to make sure that I have something packed or ready for me to eat if I happen to be over there when I am hungry. When we went grocery shopping, I bought a bag of frozen broccoli and mixed veggies and asked her if I could keep them over at her house, so that way I could have something healthy for me to eat. She didn't have a problem, as she knew that no one would touch it. I had a spare key made for my car, as I dropped the one underneath my deck, and I haven't fetched it yet. I also bought some dowel rods for the Ojo de Dios. After we came back grocery shopping, I stayed a little bit longer, so we could play a board game. So Christy, Jesse and I played "Malarkey" until it was about 4 a.m, which was really fun. I told her that I had to get home, as my kitties are missing me as well as I had church in the morning. I told her that I would see her on Tuesday and Thursday, as on Thursday we are making Ojo de Dios, for Cinco de Mayo.

When I got home, I was so happy to be there. So were my kitties! Mekong wouldn't leave me alone, she was crying alot while I was in the shower. So when I was done, I picked her up and held her for a good 5 minutes and made sure she laid on me so I could pet her as well. I was going to read, but I never got that far, as I could feel myself falling asleep. I didn't remember much else other, fainting hearing the movie that was playing when sleep over took me.
