I believe we talked about some funds from Videography.

I would like to put in another 20 hours making vignettes and videos
to keep the momentum going.

I was recording lots of comments in video and have many outstanding stills
that can be used. I want to work with others who want to do follow up video.
Most of these are doing this for a living and could benefit from a minimal investment
of our funds that are still to be allocated.

I ran into one person in particular hunting for a job who is
a professional non-profit organizer.

I was inspired by the number of farmers from various cultures
who showed up who could help us get out of our local Food Emergency.

We need a talent bank, and a city wide council from various
communities, i.e, as what was started at our event.

We all invested a ton of volunteer hours to get this energy going.
The harvest will come after the fact.

I would suggest a $200.00 budget for Kristin to do follow up on website development.

I would like $200.00 to work with developing the vignette videos to supplement
the other videos we will be putting up online.

I would like to see Brian Heddon and team have some funds allocated if this is not already in place.

We need a marketing and PR followup for the videos that we recorded,
and classes from last year.

We need to set an intention that out of our group investment that we can take steps
to secure a safe future for our city through building up and continuing to invest in the energy
we have started to cultivate.

I would also like to see some funds dedicated to so many hours of followup organizing
for those who want this part time work.

Just as IRC has a staff, we need to focus some funds into building up Food Now Lawns
and our Cultivating Food Justice Events...There needs to be significant followup.

I would suggest we put out a call to those who would like to do some paid work,
minimally at $10.00 an hour.

I brought in a couple of Organic Industry donors.
We could bring in an array of donors with the highest quality foods for next year.

It is important that the food we serve be a teaching in itself,
more than just fill the belly. Food Desert is going to explode
as a concept now as more and more become aware that a high percent of our
foods are harmful, and we need to start growing more as a local community.

A concerted campaign needs to build upon what we started here...
a look at how much Real Safe Food is now out there, and now much more
we can produce in the next 12 months as a Bio-Region.

More collaboration needs to happen between the various groups on a city wide basis.

This would be a wise use of all of our work.

It is critical that we graduate from imagining that those who are in elected and city jobs
are going to get us fed through these difficult times when so few know how to eat,
and so many more of us need to be given confidence to grow some of our own food.

We can significantly contribute to Food Security through building an on-going community.

What do you say?

Leslie
