The Frey family hold a warm place in my heart.
I first met Tamara, a member of the family, at at Rancho La Puerta
where she and her former husband tended the very special
farm at Rancho Tres Estrellas.

Through Tamara I met Katrina Frey.

Over the years, I have come to admire the kindness of the
family that truly produces a standard of wine intregrity.

Producing the highest qaulity Biodynamic wines is the families
joy as well as wine that is Sulfide Free.

This Spring I am launching Standing up for nature's Original Technology,
Organic Uprising.

When I asked Katrina to sponsor the gift of photos from the
historic of the Natural Product Expo West , she said yes.


Earlier this year, when the USDA at the direction of
the President fully deregulated the growing of GE alfalfa,
I began to grow organic alfalfa.

I brought four bowls of the seedlings to the Natural Product
Expo West and many people recognized in this statement
a call to stand up for doing the right thing by our seeds.

I met a number of Non-profits and came in touch with
significant projects that I want to write about here
on the Plant Your Dream Blogs.

A GATHERING OF ORGANIC LEADERS

More than 500 leaders of the Organic Industry
gathered on Friday March 11 in a session called
GMO AND POLITICAL CHALLENGE TO ORGANIC FOR 2011 AND BEYOND...


Years ago, Katrina was involved in a project in Mendocino County
that stood up and barred Monsanto from growing GE foods in
that county. In was a victory that inspired me very much.


Truly Katrina and Jonathan Frey are at the core
of organic leadership in our country doing the right thing
and standing up through personal example for
Nature's Original Technology.


We have much to learn from the family about
service the public good, and showing their care for the earth
through the wines they produce.
