January 27, 2011

I didn't sleep well last night. I fell asleep early, and work up again around 10:30. I was out for about 2 hours, as my TV was set to go off in two hours. I woke up just one minute before it was going to be going off. I fell asleep again and woke up again around 3:00 a.m. I think I was suffering from a bit of gas, from eating those Brussels sprouts. I was very hesitant about getting them and cooking them, as in the past, if I ate just 3 of them, I would have a horrible belly ache for hours. So when I ate them, I made sure that I chewed them really good and slow, so that they would digest well. I finally got up and had a small snack (A Wasa cracker with a little Jarlsberg cheese dip) and settled down and read my book with the hopes of falling asleep again. When my alarm when off at 6:30 a.m., I didn't hear it until it was about 7:30 a.m. I really didn't want to get up. I was wishing it was Saturday so I could sleep in some more.

I had another BM today. It was not pleasant, as it was very dry at first. It was like little rabbit pellets at first and then it changed. I can tell, that the pellet like ones were left over from my water fast, while the other stuff is newer stuff that produced after I started eating again. I never really was much to paying attention to my BM, other then I look to see the color or if there is something odd that I would look for. It is really weird that I can tell that I am getting more fiber in my body then before, as it shows. Well, right now my bumhole hurts, because of my pre-water fast junk that I had in my intestines was finally moving out. LOL. I am just glad that I got all that out. I feel so much better. More alive.

It was lovely to have my barley and lentil stew for lunch. I still can't believe how much I have changed when it comes to enjoying the food that I am eating now. I never was one to really like beans or any sort. Maybe it is because it was the way it was prepared. I have to say that Phil taught me a bit about how to prepare beans. While he lived me with, we ate a lot of beans. He liked to add them to Mac and cheese, along with hamburger. I can't say that was the healthiest for me, as I couldn't handle the Mac and cheese nor the hamburger constantly. I have learned from Phil to season my beans as to my own tastes. I think in the past I never liked beans much as they were just so plain and not tasty at all. Now, I season all my bean dishes to my own taste. I love to add minced garlic(this has become a very used staple in my cooking nowadays),

I picked up some black yarn so I could start knitting some solid wrist warmers, as I am sure I will be using them for my upcoming fast in February.

I called my mother and talked to her for a little bit. I told her about the 4 ˝ difference in my hip size, as I was still very excited about it. She said that she was very proud of me for losing weight after Phil moved out. She went on about how it must make me feel more energetic as well

I still don't have a working sewer line, so I haven't been doing many dishes, as it backs up into my tub. It drains slowly, but it takes a hour or so. At least that means that it is thawing out. I am hoping that it is warmer this weekend, so it will fully defrost. I have been playing around with the idea of flushing some salt down the toilet to help thaw out the line, as salt is always used with melting ice. I haven't spoke to my parents about it yet (as they both retired plumbers) to make sure that it wouldn't harm my sewer line in some way. I don't think that it would, but I rather not take that change without asking for advise first.
