Listening to the Senate--Getting Familiar with the Senators.
Heard Senator Tom Harkin saying goodbye to
the Senator senator from Iowa,
Gregg I believe his name was.

Another man I would have liked to have
followed, it seemed.

They are voting now.
Some of the names sound like
out of Lord of the Rings,
Bagich, etc.
Udall here, Udall there.
A couple more the same form different states.

Sen Hartin was so convinced
that #S-510 this food safety moderization
is a done deal.

They have so many tools to work with,
so many procedures to get what they want.
It seems that if they want something, they get it.

HOW MANY OF US ARE THERE?

How many people oppose #S-510,
Food Safety and Why?

How would we know?
How could that kind of data be collected?

I am going to google it.

If you did a poll, most people would say they wanted
the bill because they are in the dark
about what it implies.

Who could say they were opposed to Food Safety
Modernization?

I would like to know how many Senators have heard
the opposing arguments.

What are the opposing arguments?

What would be said if there was a Dialogue
on Science, Ethics, and Food that addressed
the issues behind the bill?

How can people participate in their government?
Do we have a voice?

Do people have a voice in government
other than voting in elected officials?

I really want to know this.

I use to like football for numbers of years.

Now this is becoming my sport of choice.

I would like to play to win,
as I imagine all these men and women like
to win.
