Read the above news release!!!!
Barry Logan talks to the Plant Your Dream Blog
about the Rules he presumably broke that are causing the
shut down of La Milpa Organica Farm.
The "miracle" defeat of 510 would have imperiled
local farming, in my view.
PHOTOS OF IMPERILED FOOD
AND LOCAL FARMING LIFESTYLE
These are photos from my visit to
La Milpa Organica Farm, on the Monday
before the intended scheduled
Last Harvest September 18.

Photos from the September 13 visit to La Milpa Organica Farmm and some previous times. The farm isscheduled to shut down due to coming up against the existing regulatory system that defines much of what Barry Logan has been doing for seven years as a crime.
The issues, in light of the the recent near passage of s-510, The Food Safety Modernization Act, bring us an important opportunity to educate ourselves about the issues that now imperil real safe food.
Our food supple is imperiled. The imperiled lifestyle and food grown at La Milpa Organica Farm represent core issues that must be addressed now if we want real health reform.
MORE TO STUDY
The Last Harvest is this Saturday
on the Idyllic Farm.
This is my behind the scenes take
on what is going on and its relationship to
s-510, The Food Safety Modernization Act
that was said to have been headed to the Senate
September 16. It never reached the floor
and is now dead for this session.
QUESTION:
Is it wise to define a small farm,
such as the La Milpa Organica Farm
in San Diego,
that has been working outside the
current regulatory framework,
as a crime scene?
La Milpa Organic Farm is part of a 10,000
tradition of healthy farming that no longer fits
within the current food rules.
Is La Milpa a real Crime scene,
or are the way we are regulating small farms off the mark?
How more regulated with small farms be
after S-510, The Food Safety Modernization Act?

The Creation of a the La Milpa Organica Farm

I NEED MORE SPONSORS
It is imperative that a massive education
begin about healthy food and authentic Safe and
Clean food.
More conversations with Barry Logan
exist from our September 13 time together.

Barry Logan of Escondido’s La Milpa Organica Farms might be the next Tom Chino. The ex-techie turned farmer holds monthly potlucks and takes on hipster interns searching for their inner Michael Pollain. Whether at the Hillcrest Farmers Market or dropping off fresh stock for Whisknladle, Logan’s the Yoda to a new legion of slow-food Jedis.
