Woke up with a considerable
amount of inspiration this morning.
Numbers of things to write and prepare
for this day.

I am putting an inordinate amount of time
feeling into the
energy of the
First International Modern Esseene Gathering
next weekend, July 23-25, 2010.

Brings up a range of emotions inside me
around going and not going to this gathering.

I may give Michael Bedar, a friend a call back
Sunday. He is planning to go. He had a seat in his
vehicle open as of last Thursday when he called here,
returning a call I made to him a few weeks ago.

I better let this rest for now.
I have other things I want to do this morning
that our relevant closer to home.

I got a call from Michael Bedar
the other day. I did not have
time to talk. Michael has worked
closely with Gabriel. They met
at the Essene Esctatic Mystical Gathering
that we did at Madre Grande Monestary.
Michael was there on scholarship.
he then connected with Gabriel and went to work
for him at the Tree of LIfe for five years or more.

I have had some thought of going to this gathering.
Sounding a Clarion Call for a gathering of the
Modern Essenes stirs my soul.

There is much work to do here
at the Enchanted Garden Growing Grounds
here in San Diego during the next six weeks.

I am weighing priority of going as I write this.

Another part of me imagines setting up Skype
on my computer and participating in
the First International
Modern Essene Gathering via the Internet.

As I feel into this, the First Modern Essene
Gathering would have mud to it, a physical component.
I would want to be there body to body.

Keep The Beet and I caught up
with Gabriel last February here in San Diego
at the World Beat Center where
Makeda Dread Cheetom,
who I call my Wife,
hosted him.

That was when I first heard about the
Modern Essene Gathering.

I had some thoughts to go and let it be known
to Gabriel.

From Keep The Beet's point of view,
to put out a clarion call and not give a personal
invite for the Czarina of Foods
to be a teacher at this event
is a bit off-putting.

Plants were and are the centerpiece of the
Essene Movement.

Gabriel designed the concept of
the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center
in Patagonia, where this Essene Gathering
will be held. The Tree of LIfe is the central
metaphor of the Essene work.

The Tree of Life metaphor
is a way to describe the Four Worlds of the
Kabbalah, a subject I have written about

The gathering ended with a minyan of women and men
re-enacting Moshe at the water stone intended to bless the waters of the world. They touched and communed with a rock while voicing chants derived from
the Hebrew spelling of Shechina, the divine feminine.
These chants were taught by Joseph-Mark Cohen, the Kaballistic astrologer from British Columbia (www.treeoflifeschool.com.). We planted and watered
freshly harvested Job's tears (bean-sized grey or black seeds that grow on tall grasses), as we listened to a poetic blessing of water written by poet and author Liora Leah. The ceremonies symbolized that we all can be
prepared to enter the promised land--the enchanted garden--by lovingly nurturing the seeds of our dreams.

The day of the gathering, the temperature was close to 100. The day following, Leslie gathered early morning gentle rain water at his home. It was the first time it had rained in months. I saw demonstated at this gathering that our intentions are connected with nature and with
Hashem.
