ESSENE GARDENING PRACTICES

Essene Gardeners here at the Enchanted Garden
Intentional Community. They arrived a day after
we did a World Peace Celebration on around Earth Day
1983. The event was at the Starlight Bowl, Balboa Park.
They were a gift for doing the World Peace Celebration.
A few days after Russ began to garden, a family of fox
showed up. They stayed for at least seven years
and reveal themselves today to certain housemates.

The Total Solar Eclipse is
this sunday. A part of me
wanted to leave town, but
I am settling in.
I would like to go through
some archives and clear some space.
Natan Mallinger, the son of
one of my best friends, has moved into the
house. There is a lot of energy here to transition
into deeper community. He helped me
set up a new scanner that works well.
I am being reminded of the essence of
connection with the garden
I want to revise
"The Rebirth of Mother Earth," a book I first brought out
in 1989.
I am still pulled in directions, even with the decision
to stay local. My niece is down the street
at the Optimal Health Institute. She is doing
a little shabbat now in the chapel.

Over the last week, you may have been feeling the rather intense build-up to a powerful Total Solar Eclipse that occurs over the South Pacific Ocean on July 11th, reaching maximum Eclipse at 19.34 Universal Time/GMT (11.34 PST/Local Time). The central path of the eclipse shadow begins at 18.20 UT (07.20 BET/Local Time) about 850 miles to the south of Western Samoa; then it passes within 95 miles to the south of Tahiti at 18.28 UT (08.28 AHST/Local Time), and directly over Easter Island/Rapa Nui at 20.12 UT (14.12 CST/Local Time), and ends at 20.50 UT (17.50 BZT2/Local Time), on the southern tip of South America, in Patagonia, Argentina. The Sun and Moon are conjunct the Moon’s South Node in Cancer. South Node Eclipses are always concerned with releasing the patterns of the past. The Sun is also conjunct asteroid Juno, concerned with Right Relationship. Sun, Moon and Juno are in sextile (60°) aspect with asteroid Vesta and Mars in Virgo – indicating that it is our hearts and wills that need to be in right relationship. The South Node in Cancer indicates that in order for this to be so, we need to move out of our emotional “comfort zones”, and let go of any emotional attachments, which may be preventing us from coming in right, loving relationship with each other and the planet.

for the Eco-Fest. I told Stephen Longfellow Fiske
I would be coming up. I am welcome to stay at his home
in Venice.
My nerves have been shot for seven weeks.
Last Saturday was a climatic shattering.
I am not recovered.
There are too many new energies around the house.
I want to run away.
Is that the best thing to do?
Where can I get some nurturing?
How do I comfort myself?
What do I need to do most now?

By all means, check out the entire article, since I explained how past eclipses affected my chart, and gave examples of the good that can come after an eclipse removes old patterns. While no doubt many will go through "karmic adjustments" in the next few months, this Total Solar Eclipse over time can show us how to find festivity, community, integration, and celebration as old layers of our lives are peeled off.
As I told you regarding the recent Lunar Eclipse, the worst is behind us, at least for now. And regarding the Solar Eclipse at 20 degrees of Cancer, we find the Moon is sextile Saturn and trine Uranus, and Venus is trine Pluto. These may bring endings, but they'll be natural as we productively align with Spirit. Just get ready to enjoy playing a part that will be quite natural for how you've prepared over the past 18 months.

If an eclipse conjuncts your Venus, you may assume that sooner or later you will confront the end of an old way of enjoying life, an old value, or an old relationship. You will see this work out in the houses ruled by Taurus and Libra. If it conjuncts Mercury, an old mindset or perception or interpretation that was a significant part of your life will pass away through the life areas ruled by Gemini and Virgo. If an eclipse conjuncts your Saturn, an old important responsibility, obligation, hinderance, or fear will leave the life as seen in the areas of life (houses) ruled by Capricorn and Aquarius.
If the eclipse affects the Moon, expect the ending of an old habit or way of experiencing life and the affairs of the house where you have Cancer. If Mars, an old hassle or quarrel will end, or there will be a hassle as a result of an ending in the houses ruled by Aries and Scorpio. If Jupiter, an old vision, philosophical view, or an obsolete moral stance affecting the houses with Sagittarius and Pisces on the cusp. If the eclipse falls on your Sun, expect the end of the light in some way, or perhaps the passing of an old life order. It will most affect the house with Leo on the cusp.
So it primarily shows as an ending in the house in which it falls. It shows as an ending of a psychological function if it conjuncts a planet, and this works out through the houses ruled by the planet it touches. Of course, if it affects a planet, it also affects all the other planets that are connected to the eclipsed planet by sign rulership, i.e., if an eclipse conjuncts your Venus, it will naturally affect whatever planets you have in Taurus or Libra.
Here it is useful to remember that in a chart all the planets represent important people in your life, both past and present. If an eclipse conjuncts your Jupiter, expect a relationship with a Jupiterian, Sagittarius, or Pisces to end, or go through such a radical change that it will seem like you're relating to an entirely different person. The same with Saturn and the rest. When an eclipse conjuncts your Saturn, it usually signifies the passing of an elder, someone in a position of power in your life, or someone who kept you under a limitation or fear. So even an eclipse can be beneficial in that it can remove obsolete elements in your life, or people that no longer symbolize who you really are, or who you have become since you originally met them.
Eclipses occur several times a year, and not all eclipses are equally influential. Yet they all indicate coming endings, obscurations, passings, maybe even deaths, both literal and metaphoric. We always are under the influence of more than one from the past, and always have others coming within a few months, due to the conjunctions with the Moon's Nodes.
One more thing to note: a Solar eclipse is a New Moon, while a Lunar eclipse is a Full Moon. Like all lunations, the Full Moon brings to form the promise of the seed represented by the New Moon. Eclipses work the same way, but are considered more influential over a longer period. Still, the basic relationship of the lunations to each other conforms to the general pattern, which may be helpful in understanding how the energetics work.

A total solar eclipse will occur on July 11, 2010.[1] A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partially obscuring Earth's view of the Sun. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon's apparent diameter is larger than the Sun, blocking all direct sunlight, turning day into darkness. Totality occurs in a narrow path across the surface of the Earth, while a partial solar eclipse will be visible over a region thousands of miles wide.
The eclipse will be visible over much of the southern Pacific Ocean, touching several small islands including Tuamotu in French Polynesia and Easter Island, as well as the southern tips of Argentina and Chile in South America.[2]

The Transition
This transition, as exciting and wonderful as it is, is creating difficulties for many. These difficulties are occurring
as this pace quickens, and we continue to hold our third dimensional beliefs and habits as truths. We continue to argue for
the right and wrongs, judge others for their actions or fix them because “we know better.” These actions belong to the
third dimension and they must be released. As long as we continue to hold these limitations, we will experience the affects
of this Shift within our physical and emotional bodies. These affects are known as Ascension Symptoms.
Symptoms, such as,, dizziness, confusion, loss of focus, headaches, fatigue, digestion discomfort, anxiety, etc.
You may be experiencing Time going faster. There is more on your plate and less time to complete it. You may be losing
aspects of your memories (no, it’s not Alzheimer’s). Things that were once very important are no longer as important. And
most of us are feeling a heightened sense of distraction coupled with an emotional sense that something is just not right.
As we argue for our limitations and hold on to the old beliefs which no longer support us, we create a resistance or
blockage within our four-body system creating these discomforts. The third dimensional reality as we have known it is
shifting. It is becoming far more grand, aligned and balanced, moving into a Higher Consciousness. Humanity is waking
up and as it does, the old structures that have supported duality, maintained separation and have controlled the masses
with fear are crumbling.
As this new Light finds it way into every corner of darkness, those that live within the darkness are beginning to
recoil, react and become very noisy. They will scream the loudest to maintain the status quo. They are creating imbalance,
wars, economic failures and many other distractions to prevent this Shift from occurring. They will, for a short time,
become very loud, generating much fear in their attempt to avoid this Shift. As this new Light flows within each of us, we
are now receiving new information, opportunities and choices which were not available to us in the past. These choices
are now allowing each of us to step out of the fear, distraction and separation. By grounding, realigning your energy
fields, stabilizing your attention point and focus, you will keep the bodies safe, successful and happy during the transition.
