Keep The Beet Here
I just got Leslie's fingers out of bed
to do some updates on this
Plant Your Dream Blog.
Congrats to Mark for expressing
his full self regarding the Gulf.
We are all in Deepwater now,
but with Leslie and Mark working
on this together, I know
all will be O.K. "Lettuce grow together!"

Seminar intro in San Diego June 24, 2010.

I was feeling down when I came in the room.
I was twittering throughout the event,
challenging myself to see if Mark,

MARK IS TAKING ON SOME REALLY BIG ISSUES
IN THE WORLD

I am grateful that Mark Victor Hansen
is taking on some very important issues,
including building electric cars.

It has been a few years since I have witnessed him.
It was healing to hear him taking on issues
that I have been writing about here
on the Plant Your Dream Blog.
His point of view is always innovative.
I like his summary of the condition
of our government and wall street.

I like him taking on BP.

For years, I have been bringing
organic foods to his seminars and personal
treats for him. Today, our chain of being
is broken on land and sea. Gratefully,
the solutions are here as well.

I continue to wish Mark Victor Hansen
success in all his Seed Dreams.

It was an honor to have planted seed dreams
for the success of the original "Chicken Soup for the Soul"
book in 1994, at the first ABA, now Book Expo America,
after it came out.

A few years ago I put together a marvelous calendar,
making a few copies that affirmed Mark and Jack Canfield's
seed dream to sell 1 Billion copies of "Chicken Soup for the Soul"
by the year 2020.

I had in mind that some great things might come out
of that calendar when I took off a month in July 2008
to make a prototype.


LOOKING BACK TO 1994

When I original did the seed dream work in 1994,
I brought a lettuce plant to that gathering at
the American Bookseller's Association event
that was the coming out party for the HCI books,
including "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book one.
The lettuce was one of my main props that shows in
the photos that I used in the calendar that spans
photos over from 1994, through the tenth year
anniversary of Chicken soup, to a few of the
MEGA book events I attended.

The summer I was making the calendar, back in 2008,
lettuce was going to seed here at the
Enchanted Garden Intentional Community growing grounds
in San DIego.

I took the photo below that appears
in the Art called "Seeding Our Dreams"

That art, a 24 x36 blowup,
hangs in our dining room.

Mark taught us for three hours on Thursday,
June 24 to conclude a four city tour introducing
his extraordinary Wealthy Writer's Wisdom course.

Lawrey Jack Smashnuk, one of the mentees
in the Wealthy Writers Wisdom program, and I spent the
entire day together Thursday. He flew in
from Canada. I took him to our local
O.B. Food Coop where he purchased some local
organic foods. Then we went to Dog Beach,
made some video, and put our feet in the water.
This was a treat for both of us. Lawrey comes
from Mississanga Ontario, Canada far from
the beach. Dog Beach allows our four leggeds
to rule the place. One dog, who had a mom,
came up to us, and wanted Lawrey to throw the
frisbee. That is a site I will not soon forget.
Lying on the sand, brainstorming and making
some video. One little dog came up to me
and licked my face. All the dogs, big and little,
get along there.

In the back of my mind, I kept imagining
Mark being with us.

Following the beach visit, we
came here to the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
growing grounds near SDSU.

We spent the day making videos and planting
Seed Dreams. In the evening, I helped Lawrey
set up a fan page for "Momma's Wisdom,"
a hit song he has written.

Lawrey is a marvelous lyricist. I wrote a
Plant Your Dream Blog about him
called "Momma's Wisdom,"

Chicken Soup for the Soul was released on June 28, 1993,
and became a holiday favorite by the end of December.


BEA was held in Los Angeles in June of 1994.
The following day I did ritual work for the success
of the book and the series. I took the book
and other HCI books to a stream at the Taylor's
Herb Farm on the way home. That was one of
my favorite places.


"Thanks to that groundswell of popularity, by September of 1994, Chicken Soup for the Soul was on every major bestseller list in the U.S. and Canada. Although the media may not have led the charge, they soon caught on. Chicken Soup for the Soul received coverage from just about every major media outlet in the country, including “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Today Show,” “Larry King Live” and thousands of others. The series quickly became a pop culture phenomenon, receiving mentions on television programs like “Friends,” “The Sopranos,” “Everybody Loves Raymond,” plus several movies."

In 2005, I attended a Rick Frishman Author 101 event.
I even paid in for the VIP rate. My intent was to spend time
with Mark. I met Regina Jensen, the editor of "Space of Love"
Magazine at that event. I took a photo with Renee and Mark
holding Beet The Beet Media Star, The World's First Talking Beet Plant.
That meeting with Renee led to a partnering with Regina Jensen.
She said there was a great affinity between my work and the work
of Anastasia, a mystic who lived in Siberia and inspired the
"Ringing Cedars Revolution. I have been helping Keep The Beet
write a column in the international "Space of Love" Magazine since.

This morning, I am taking some down time.
Although I have been helping Keep The Beet write numbers
of columns in "Space of Love Magazine," I have never really stopped
to read Book One, a gift from Regina. This morning,
I was lying in bed reading the book for the first time.
The phone rang. It was Mark Victor Hansen.
His secretary Debbie said that he wanted to schedule a phone
appointment for 30 minutes from the time of the call.

I am waiting for the call now.

It think it is curious.
I met Regina at Author 101 in 2005 at the BEA.
I met her with Mark.
Now I stop to read the book.
Mark calls for the first time ever.
