growing April 22, 2010.

This is the same beet that was in the
Closing Ceremony April 18, 2010
for the San Diego Earth Fair/and Culti-cultural
Earth Day Festival. It rained when Human Kindness
planted his Seed Dreams in this pot.

I met Jerome Ringo
on Earth Day, April 21, 2010
at San Diego State University.

That was the day
the Oil Started leaking out of
from the Deepwater Rig.

Jerome Ringo is from Louisana.
He went through Katrina.

The next day was Earth Day.
Jerome Ringo was the keynote speaker.
It rained in San Diego on Earth Day.
His talk as scheduled was cancelled.

We did have a reception in his honor at
5 pm that day.

I recorded his talk.
Many of the student leaders of San Diego State University
were there.

He saw San Diego as a flagship University
for sustainability in our nation.

I told him about the 2010 Cultivating Food Justice
Conference.

He began his talk giving that historic conference
a big shout.


We spent some quality time together
before the reception.

He joined the Beet Keepers.

The next day, he gave another talk
at a sustainable energy resource Center.

I recorded a lot of his talk on April 21,
and April 23. I was able to record
his talk before the students on my iphone.

BEET KEEPERS, RETURN!

Generations are often named.
There was once a hippy generation.
I was part of that.
There was once a Beetnik generation,
I was chosen enough to remember some of
its characters. We use to have a TV program
called Dobie Gillis when on was a teen.
There was a character called Maynard Gribbs.
He was sort of a Beetnik.

Earlier this Spring,
I attended the California Student Sustainability Coalition.
We looked at a Video of the We Generation.

Many of the We Generation, the new Youth
that needs to step up and groom
the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community here
may be from this We Generation.

Others, will be of all ages of
Beet Keepers.

BEET KEEPERS ARE NEXT, AMEN

Beet Keepers are next.
Amen.

What the world needs now
are the Beet Keepers.

We have lost our beat with nature.

We can regain the beat through growing
things that feed our soul.

Whole, pure, natural, fresh, local foods
feed the soul.

That is a Survival Law.

Once when I helped write
A Magic Survival Kit Books One and Two
for Dr. Bernard Jensen,
we noted many Survival Laws.

Today, we desperately need to know
the Survival Laws if we want to turn
the conditions in the world around now.

We have broken the Chain of Being.
We have punched holes through our
unconscious commerce in the ozone layer.
We have now successfullly given knock out
punches to the Food Chain, both on land
and see.

DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL

This Plant Your Dream Blog is born out of intense Crisis
and a Dark Night of the Soul.

I was not looking forward
to going to sleep last night.

I did not sleep well.
I feel under attack.
When I play out the scenarios in my mind
about the future of the next few months,
some of these scenes took very dark and bleak.
Then this morning, I work up with some
fresh inspiration.


WORKING WITH PROBLEMS


I was working with some intense crisis
and problems during the night.
I felt hopeless.

Then the fresh inspiration came.

I believe our Soul is buried
at the bottom of our cracks.
I believe there is power in going
deep into these dark places
where the Soul is buried.


NEW ART.
NEW CREATIONS.


I am going to take some of my best poems
such as the poem called
"A Moment of Awakening"
and combine it with music of friends
and video and art I make.

Some of these are going to be sold on websites
to give inspiration to others.

I am going to talk to
both Multimedia Deva,
Natan Mallinger, and my friends
from Soundings of the Planet about this.

The land here where I live is terrifically overgrown

HOW BIG IS YOUR GARDEN?

I believe that what we do with soul intention
everywhere.

Our garden need be no bigger than one pot.
Begin with one beet pot, and keep a beet
in our pot.

In doing so, you are creating a relationship
with a growing plant. You are re-establishing
your soul relationship with the beat of nature.

Name your growing beet, Keep The Beet.

Let her talk to you. She will talk to you.
The Whole Universe can talk to you through one single
plant.



PLANTING WITH INTENTION

I have always thought that
what I did here with intention mattered.

Yesterday, I planted some new beets in pots.
The pots were intended to grow 1000 years of peace.
