I was just clearing some space around
the Kindness Tree, a varigated fig tree in my backyard.
The water, from a spicket, is filled with weeds
between it and the fig tree.

As I was clearing the weeds,
I remembered that Brad Lancaster,
a rainwater harvesting expert, was in town.
I thought his talk might be tonight.
It was on Monday, May 10, sponsored
by the San Diego Horticulture Society.

I missed that talk.

I originally heard about Brad Lancaster
through listening to an internet show
where he was being interviewed.

Here is one similar talk by Brad Lancaster
interviewed by Laura Fox of the Visionary Culture
network.

In Tuscon, they now have an ordinance when they build
they have places to attach rainwater spigots.
Also in Toronto, where it is contaminated, they have
a scarcity. Harvesting rainwater becomes a necessity.
