This is big news.

Background;

The Bio Tech industry is basically in the back
pocket of Washington. Washington is banking
on Biotechnology Industry Technology to bring us home,
to get the economy out of debt.
This is no big secret. Read the writing on the wall.
President Obama means well. He wants to get
us out of deep "do-do" up to our ankles.
Have you got my drift? Yes, I am talking
about poop, the stuff that if handled right
becomes compost. Manure? Got it?

Not too long ago, President Obama ate
dinner not far from the White House Organic Garden
with a ally of Michael Pollan, most recently
of "Food Rules," formerly of "Food Inc."
and "The Omnivore's Dilemma."

This was the gab.
"Prez, how about backing sustainable ag
in America?" The Prez takes another bite
of organic food, a common faire on the
dinner table on Pennsylvania Ave.

This is what the Prez says:

"Show me the movement! Make me do it!"

What did he mean by that?

His hands were on his fork and knife when
he said it, but any intelligent person
could see that they were really shackled
behind his back. He was enslaved
to a load of lobbyists, as well as
cultivating heavy duty relationships
wtih BioTech Mega Bucks.

There is nothing wrong with that.
When a county has him sleeplessly
wreastling at night with Mega Problems
you go with the money, especially
when it appears that the problem is money.

What are the facts?
Obama is emphathetic to locavores.
He is one himself. She shops out of his
garden. He secretly eats from the
nearby Farmers' Market.
Believe me, he knows where it is at.
Can you dig it?

Then, the Prez turns to
Michelle. He says,
"It's your issue, Baby!"

What was he saying.
He was saying he had his hands tied.
He was saying to his organically grown
dinner guest, "if you want me to do it,
get your poop together. Get organized.
Then, he repeated, "Show me the movement!"

Fast forward to April 2010.
Fast forward beyond the White House Organic Garden,
beyond trips to Russia where the most
popular thing on people's minds is
the veggies growing on Pennsylvania Ave.
People of the earth know what is real.
They have their priorities straight.
They like to eat and they know what Real Food is
if given half a chance to remember their roots.

Fast forward to 54th and Chollas,
to the International Rescue Committee
New Roots Community Garden.
Of course, it's organic.
Where else would you expect the Mrs.
to go to announce to the kids of
the US and the world, "Let's Move!"

What is the inference?
If you want to be healthy, hang with
veggies. Get rooted! If you want to
exercise, plant a garden.
Put two and two together
and you come up with a call
to keep the beat, to get back
in the rhythm of nature.

I was there Uncle Sam.
I stood by the California and Old Glory.
I heard the words in my head
when I asked the good folks from
the California Endowment, the
keepers of the event guest list
for the signage where First Lady Michelle
greated our very own San Diego Mayor
Jerry Sanders.

Anti- GMO? Uncle Sam?
Are you kidding? Washington, the Supreme
Court, the Senate, The House, the top scientists
of our nation, the many school teachers who
are raising our next classes of Genius' and
visiting the BIO Industry Convention May 3-May 6, 2010,
They are all by inference Pro-GMO.

So what will it take for the Prez to toss
the locavores more than a bone?

Baby, it's beyond just Baby.
It's is going to take about 10 million of us
doing the most simple of actions.

HERE OUR SOME ACTION STEPS

Beginning in your own backyard,
enter Plant Parenthood.
Read the words carefully.
For better viewing, take off your eye
glasses, loosen your tie, and take off your shoes.
Plant a fully grown beet in a pot.
If you are lucky enough like poison coach
lawyer Bill Marler to have a local FM to shop
at, go get an organic local beet from a farmer
you know. You can count on that being GMO Free.

Then repot the beet.
Keep The Beet. Watch it grow.
When it starts to wake you up at night,
do not imagine you are nuts. instead,
go to the FM again, and see if you can buy
a bag of walnuts, or maybe some fresh almonds.

Listen to what your beet is telling you.
When she tells you to start investing in the
Bank of Compost, do it.

When she tells you that it is time for you
and 9,999,999 of your neighbors to start
behaving as family, do it. Reread the Ten
commandments. Tear down a fence or two.
Start sharing food. Start making a Victory Garden.
Join the outrageous plot to garden together
at your closest community garden.

Attend the PTA with your Keep The Beet Plant.
Start driving around with your potted plant.
If you go over 65 and an Peace officer stops you,
let me know that there are two living beings
in your vehicle. I am sure he will understand.
Invite him to become a Beet Keeper, too!

Monsanto's alfalfa is made from genetic material from bacteria that makes the crop resistant to the popular weed killer Roundup.

ORGANIC VALLEY CHECKS IN

Justice Antonin Scalia needs to see this about 10 million

LA FARGE, Wis., April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Organic Valley farmers are joining the Center for Food Safety in a fight against the sale of Monsanto's genetically modified (GM) alfalfa seed. Products certified under the USDA Organic seal cannot be genetically modified, and GM alfalfa drift threatens the integrity of certified-organic alfalfa crops, says the organic farmer-owned cooperative.

"Alfalfa is a perennial with a three-mile pollination radius,
so farm buffers won't work," explains Fred Kirschenmann, Iowa Leopold Center Distinguished Fellow and a farmer in North Dakota.
"It is impossible to contain."

I AGREE WITH THIS COMMENT BY XENOPHILIA

Yeah, it’s not like some alfalfa is going to create a black hole that swallows the entire galaxy in one day and one night resulting in the complete extinction of all life everywhere in the entire Milky Way Galaxy. Geeze. Relax. Eat your franken-foods. Trust that if it turns out that GM foods are killing people slowly and/or causing diseases like cancer, there will, eventually, be lawsuits and it will be banned … after enough people have died. That’s the way it worked with vioxx, asbestos, PCBs, certain pesticides, DDT and cigarettes.
