I just had a powerful transformational experience
walking the land where I live.

I have not had this kind of experience in years.

It rained some last night.

I did not imagine we would have any more rain this season.

I gathered a yellow bucket full of rain
off the roof when I most often gather rain.

I am feeling profoundly touched.

I took photos under the light of clouds.

Oh my God.

The revelation came near the loquat tree.

I thought of Steven Brooks.

He ate some off this tree a number of years ago
around this time of year.

Oh, congratulation, Steven on your recent marriage!!!

Congratulations too, Anthony Russo.

I want to send you a card.

I hear the voice of my housemate N.
She takes long hikes in the Sierras,
but I doubt if she has ever walked this property
and the adjoining land where I walked today.

I have not walked the land I walked today
in many years. Tim built a gate on the lot
next door as part of the remodel he is doing
on the house next door.

I walked across a narrow ledge to get to the backyard
in the lot behind the house that is being flipped.

There is no real passage over than a narrow bridge
now to the most precious and wild part of the land.

Once I walked across the narrow bridge, I was in a forest,
a place, a sacred ground that may not have been
stepped upon in years.

I went beyond some rubble.

Then, and then some tree trimmings,
and then into overgrowth.

This is right next door, not in the Amazon rainforest.
It is a rainforest kind of morning.

I am feeling the feeling inside me.

I saw our land from a different angle.

I did not know I was still lonely for the female
companionship of my twin soul/ best friend
who played with me in the area I am now reviewing.

It woke up what was underneath a scab.
