Some say it is the Sun the fires the plants.
I say it is the plants that fuels the sun,
or maybe they are in a symbiotic relationship.

Do we receive our nurturing from the sun.

[4:14 AM small aftershock earthquake...] as I write this...
There was a 6.9 yesterday in Baja, about 350 miles from here.].

...or is it the Sun that receives inspiration from each of us?

There is also a line that comes to mind right now:

"Take off thy shoes for you are on holy ground."
Where does that come from exactly?
Moses was standing at the Burning Bush.
He was awed. The Voice, that some say
was God, said those words or words like them.

I just came out of the desert and arrived home
this Easter Sunday. I had a profound healing experience.
A part of the time I was walking bareboot on the desert sand.
I felt it was appropriate. In our tent, we set up a Miskan,
a holy sanctuary. It seemed to have been overshadowed this
time by the plants in the center Altar. Partly, that was due
to the wind conditions.


I want to invite you to take a journey of awakening with me.
We will use as our guidebook "A Journey of Awakening,"
Kabbalistic Meditations on the Tree of LIfe, by Rabbi Ted Falcon.

I also suggest you go to this URL and print up a copy of
the Homer Omer Calendar. This helps to identify which
week we are in and which day. Each day there is a Communion
between a part of the body, and a Sefirah energy,
Some relate the Sefirah to Angels or Chakras.

The Counting of the Omen has become an abstract concept
since the loss of the Ancient Temple. In ancient times,
the barley was counted, a winter grain. Each day we count
the Omer. I literally, grow Barley. I feel that when we grow
the barley, the Temple will return. In this days, the Temple
is the body.

The Counting begins on the second day of Passover,
the journey out of the narrow place, or Egypt. Egypt
is this thought system is the place of slavery.
The goal is freedom.

This is a seven week journey of awakening that leads
to receiving the Ten Commandments at Sinai.
Numbers of Jewish Renewal communities enact
a marriage ceremony with God at Shavuot.

I want to play up the theme this year of the Burning Bush.
This is said to be on Sinai where Moses, the bringer of the Law,
first heard the voice of God in a burning bush.

I say, the burning bush Moses saw was a tree in full bloom
in Spring. How awesome that can be--a tree in full blossom
at its peak. How Divine!

I want to invite you to do this series of studies with me,
that together we realize we are called now to stand before
the burning bush and hear the voice of nature
when it speaks to us.

What does it say?
What does the voice say?
Are you listening to the voice of nature?
Is the voice of nature a force in your life?
