This Plant Your Dream Blog relates
the impended passage of #s-510,
the Food Safety Moderization Act.

This bill aims to prevent contamination issues
in big Ag commodity traffic, but does not
acknowledge that responsible Food Safety
may mean redefinite and promoting local, organic
as the premier opportunity for consumers
to purchase and/or receive Grade #1 Food Safe
foods.

When we turn food into a commodity,
contamination is inherent in the processing
of large qualities of food.

Foods deemed safe that are commodities by the
scale of their production are likely non-therapeutic in nature.

Therapeutic foods are fresh, local, organic
by the standard set by K.T Beet M.S,
our czarina of foods.

If USDA passes the rule
that GE, Coventional, and organic can co-exist,
this will force the need for GMO free zones.

To uphold these will require billions of regulations.


MY POSITION

If FDA does not uphold these GMO-FREE areas,
they should be liable for losses to the $23 Billion
organic trade industry.


I will be making some comments on this later
in regard to the FDA being mandated to uphold
the organic standard when #uss-510 passes the Senate.

This will require a budget of billons uphold
that may not be unantipated.

How about the preemtive part of the law?
The FDA and condemn something, causing
losses to the grower. If the product is shown
safe, but ruined on the shelf, the loss goes
to the grower.
