See Avatar Again at the Mira Mesa Imax by YourEnchantedGardener .....
Avatar in IMAX at the Edwards Cinema 18 Mira Mesa. This film, that I predicted would win best picture of the year at the Academy Awards tonight, needs to be seen the way it was intended.

JAMES CAMERON, DIRECTOR,
of AVATAR ON THE RED CARPET
Avatar, the highly touted Academy Award Nominee
that I predicted would win Best Picture of the year, simply
has to be seen in IMAX, the way it was intended.
I headed out to see the film last night at our
Edward Cinema 18, in Mira Mesa.
Edwards Mira Mesa Stadium 18

Natalie Majony was manager of the theatre
last night. She answered the phone when I
told her the Plant Your Dream Blog was coming.
Chef Jem went with me too.
We left to go out to see the film for the first time
in the afternoon way out in El Cajon, but something was not right.
I kept missing turnoffs and got there late.
The woman, who took the money, spoke through
a microphone, a form of high tech, just a good
portion of the characters in this high relevant film
could not have existed without their high tech that
was years ahead of us into the future.
The film by James Cameron is very far away from us
in the future, but the Archetypal themes it suggests
are very current.
This is one of those films where the way the movie
turns may be familiar. The battlelines are definitely
set up here, just as we found in The Lord of the Rings
Saga.
There is a generation of youth, many who I saw at
the Edward, one of the few theatres featuring "Avatar"
that may never have related to an indigenous tribe
being hurt or hounded for something that another
'tribe", who consider themelves more technologically
advanced, want to get.
Millions--or billions--I am sad to say of people today
may be losing their connection to the land and their
indigenous nature. This theme cannot be told
enough times.
"Avatar" is up for nine academy awards but few
for acting. There is some discussion on the internet
about the quality of the acting.
How good was the main female lead for example,
who is a highly manipulated on the screen character
that in other films, in the age of Disney, might have
been a cartoon, but this Juliet part of our Romeo team
definitely has endearing traits and qualities that make
me want to go back and visit her world again
on the screen of our local Edwards Imax.
That is the test for me of good acting, is the character
engaging? Can I feel any bond with her? For sure
she was computer made in many ways, but that will
be the part of the discussion that will draw a generation
of fans to Avatar. How much was she acting in the
conventional sense? How real and engaging?
I was engaged, and I would go see this film again,
just as I would go to a Equniox Celebration,
or attend a Holiday Religious Gathering that
has deep thematic content.
On first look, Avatar is overwhelming to the senses,
especially with the 3D glasses. The sounds are large,
The images come right out at you. The film
deserved to be scene once just to appreciate its
visuals, and then again to take in part of the message.
This is an important message for our time.
The battle concerns too different cultures
that are in battlelines today, high tech vs.
the indigenous lifestyle connected very much
by a network of the enchanted as well as the
natural.
Who wins? Who will win in our world
in this day and time?
Go see Avatar twice, at least once in Imax.
Enjoy the Technology that made this film possible,
and then, settle back and take in what is really
being asked of us.

I know it is because the Edwards Cinema is the place to go
if you want to see a film in its full expression.
"Alice in Wonderland" is another feature from Disney
that just opened and can also be seen there in IMAX.
I will tell you know what I thought of the film
later this evening.
"Avatar" shows at the Edwards 18 at least through this
THursday.
The Academy Awards are tomorrow at 5 PM.
My other pick for award is Food Inc, in the documentary
catagory.

Just got home.
It is raining.
I am awestruck by what is going on in my life now,
and to some extent what was happening in the movie
seems connected. I am tired now and want to rest.
There is a good rain now.
This is a good diretion.

There was a mixing of realities, from one D to 3D.
I wold hae liked to see charaters in the theatre,
and there is a great opportuity to draw in the world of the film
into our daily life and this Blog.
I will dream on that.
