Wow. What was I thinking?? by hurjurnee .....

I believe the Master Cleanse surely works wonders, but it isn't my cup of tea...or shall I say, lemonade!

Weight ~~ 179.8

As determined as I was yesterday morning, I found that I wasn't able to succumb to the mental detox that would occur throughout day one of the Cleanse. By 4 o'clock, I was weak, overly sleepy, lethargic, and any other description that fits the aforementioned. I was looking forward to experiencing the release of toxins from my body, but I admit that I was not mentally prepared for what it entailed. It is with a great sense of defeat that I must say the Cleanse was over before it really got started. I ate a late lunch, still felt super-weak (what an oxymoron...) and ate dinner at around 8.

As I look at myself, this morning, I realize that something has to give. I've got to get rid of this extra baggage. I know that there is a direct link between my extra physical baggage and my emotional baggage. Believe me, the emotional aspect is saved for a future therapy session, whenever I decide to embark on that journey.

So, for now, I must wave the white flag ~~ but only to the Master Cleanse. My weight loss journey is an ever-present 'elephant in the room', and it must be addressed, pronto!!! On to the next blog, folks.
