KEEP the BEET Media Star here,
The World's First Talking Beet Plant.
It's been quite an education since
I left the field and started "beeting" the trail with Leslie,
Your Enchanted Gardener.
In 1907, one of my favorite Enchanted Gardeners
Luther Burbank wrote a book called,
"The Training of the Human Plant." Some human beings have
forgotten that you have a vegetative side and grow plant-like.
Most of the things that plants do
to make life are the things humans need
to do to earn a living wage.
The lost understanding
of how things naturally grow
has brought up the need for health reform
as well as wrecked our economy.
The next 1000 years are intended to 1000 years of peace on earth
through making peace with earth.
To be a Fortune 100 company
in the new Enchanted Garden Era of the next 1000 years,
we are called to once again Keep The Beet.
Here are my "BEET"-At-A -Tudes for today:
1. To grow a plant is to enter Plant Parenthood.
Let your very own Keep the Beet reparent you.
2. When you water your beet, let this act remind you to drink water.
It is so easy to forget what we naturally need to do!
3. If you work at a computer or inside, leave it from time
to time to get your mind and soul reconnected
at the speed of natural plant growth. Go outside.
I, Keep the beet, grow best outside on a porch or in a nice natural spot.
Say hello to me. Let me talk to you. Let me tell you what
to do next. Remember there is only
one beet, only one Space of Love. Love is growing
with you, growing through you.
4. To be a Beet Keeper is to be an Enchanted Gardener. Hold a vision;
Say these words: Through my eyes I am recording
the history of Peace on Earth, a history of the earth and
its human flowering. Our renewed earth is the Enchanted Garden,
and you and I, its gardeners.
5. Proclaim your Keep the Beet pot as your healing garden.
Spend time with your healing garden.
A healing garden need be no bigger than your one
beet plant. Start small. One beet leads to another.
Regain confidence you can grow food.
Remember, Keep the Beet.
Eat the Greens! Your greens will continue to grow
as you take care of your beet. For more greens, grow more
pots!!!
ON THE BEET PATH
In the last few months, I am inspired watching
Leslie. He turned 62 on November 19, the start of
Enchanted Gardener month. I planted a Seed Dream in him
that he can go back to the youth he had when he was 42.
I want to see that! A man 62 regaining the youth of a much younger person.
You too can regain your youth when you grow your beet
and get back in touch with natural growth.
Leslie has been introducing me to the new beat of medicine called Integrative Medicine. At the Pacific Symposium in San Diego Nov 6-8, we created an Enchanted Garden Installation, a sacred space for the conference. Many came to root their dreams with beet seeds. The keynote speaker was Dr, Erminia M. Guarneri, M.D. Her keynote talk was "The Heart Speaks: Are you listening?" Boy, did I hear her! Mimi, as Leslie now calls her, is the co-founder of the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine (SCIM) in La Jolla, California, not far from where I live here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community. At SCIM, they have a vegetarian cooking school, yoga classes, a gym, and a pool. Now that's where I want to see Leslie be so he can youthen up! For their cardiology patients and others, SCIM uses healing touch and kind-hearted Western medical approaches to make hearts happy again. They have acupuncturists, and a natural pharmacy with an electronic sign that says "Homeopathy!"
The SCRIPPS CENTER FOR INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE
was once a dream seed, now it is reality.
You, too, can have your dreams come true
when you grow your projects beginning with planting literal seeds.
Write out your intentions. Plants are here to help you root your dreams, and help your dreams grow organically.
Q & A with KEEP The Beet.
My email box is full, full, full!
Here is one question and answer.
Your Holy Beet, creator of the
"BEET"-At-A -Tudes. Please enlighten me.
What is the true meaning of "Organically grown?"
Dear Organic:
For most of recorded history, there was only
Real Food. The last 100 years or so, we call real food "organic."
Organic is more than a thing, it is a process. When I say, keep the beet,
I mean live your life organically. Many today are eating Near Food today
brought from "Almost Food" Supermarkets. We eat Disorganically. The seed, the grower, the harvester, the marketplace are disconnected. Then we wonder why are our lives are in pieces. Shop your local organic farmer. Know Your Farmer. Know your food. Grow as you are, whole, pure and
natural. Be organically grown.
