I am turning over to a new leaf.
August was all about shock over the disconnection
between the head of our country--Washington D.C.
and the People--the potential heart and body of our nation.

Washington takes its orders from international
bodies who control Trade through agreements
that most nations buy into.

The whole idea of Food Safety is a case in point.
Legislation is now going through Congress--both houses
that wants to make Food safer for international regulators.
The more food growing is organized into fewer hands
using systems of food growing that are easier to manage
and control, the more profits can be managed. This is
safer for the multi-national corporations and the key
players behind them.

On the other hand, is the Beat of Nature, and more than
8000 years of nature Wisdom. You and I are waking up.
We are coming to realize that authentic Food Safety
is based on Knowing Your Grower.

There are not only forces in influencing Washington
that are dictated by international Regulators such as
the CODEX ALIMENTARIUS COMMISSION.

THere are people listening to people like KATHLEEN
MERRIGAN, second in command at the USDA. SHe
comes from a background that favors organics.

In September, I noticed that not only was USDA
putting out all kinds of craziness influenced by the
Biggies, but TOM VILLSAK, our Secretary of Ag was
making some incredible positive YOUTUBES
that taked launched KNOW YOUR FARMER.
KNOW YOUR FOOD.

As DR BERNARD JENSEN, a devotee of KEEP The BEET
would have said, "Which do you choose?"
What kind of Food Safety works for you?

Bad peanut butter and contaminated greens
comes from a system that is top heavy and based
on Food Safety Regs that are out of sync with Mother Earth.

Authentic Food Safety is based on Knowing Your Grower.
Who is our grower? From the most integrated point of view,
our grower is the Great Plant Maker, how ever you want
to define that in your own spiritual terms.

Spiritual terms? Some like a philosophy that includes
God, others are more comfortable with other ways of viewing
creation. Most agree creation is awesome if given half a chance.
There is a force in men and women that draws them together
to make babies.

Now is the time to own that we are here on this planet
to care for more than ourselves. This is where sustainable
relationship comes in.

People are naturally happen when the heart is touched
and they are inspired and motivated.

Good Food helps. Community helps.
Learning to Live together helps.

Being of a healthy body helps, and doing spiritual practices
that keep a person together.

Gardening is the #1 spiritual practice that KEEP The BEET
recommends. What would you expect from a beet plant?
She is a bit partial.

I personally have adopted some of the the traditions within
the Jewish Tradition that gve me energy this time a year.
I have adapted numbers of Jewish ethics and customs within
the ENCHANTED GARDEN way.

I like the idea of having more than one New Year a year.
The Jewish people do this, although the new year they are focused
on is generally the one that they are in at the moment.

We are now in a cycle called the High Hoidays that slide
right from what is called the Rosh Hashanah to the Yom Kippur.
These are called the ten Days of Awe.

Then, after the reconciliation work of Yom Kippur--very much
focused on relationship building--comes seven days of living
in huts. This holiday is called Succot, one of three harvest festivals
a year. During Succot, millions of Jewish people pray for rain.
The seasons chance.

Sunday, we had a gathering here at the ENCHANTED GARDEN
INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY. It was very healing.

We have these gatherings generally once a month here,
normally the last Sunday of the month.

The August last Sunday of the Month fell on Yom Kippur,
so I did that gathering the first Sunday of October.
The weather really shifted on that day. This is the week
when the Jewish people start to focus on rain.

Being Your Enchanted Gardener, I am more than please
to align with any tradition that is based on Nature Wisdom.
Knowing that we can influence nature through our intentions
is my cup of tea.
