Day 16 by RedFizz .....

Some car talk and other observations

Date:   9/9/2009 8:16:48 AM ( 15 y ago)

Yesterday was an interesting day. I was completely alert throughout the entire workday and didn't get worn out, which is quite an improvement. Isn't that ironic? I have to quit eating in order to be alert and awake and have energy?

Then, my car notified me that my tire was low when I was trying to leave work. So I went directly to the gas station and filled it up. It had 24psi when it should have had 39psi.

As I am driving home on a fast-paced, busy interstate, I am notified again that my tire is low, which means it is losing air quickly. I immediately got off of the interstate and onto back roads. My boyfriend found a tire shop that could patch a run-flat tire and talked me to the shop. Once I got there, he offered to come all the way there just to bring me a juice so that I don't get worn out. He's definitely my hero and I absolutely adore him. I told him it wasn't necessary, because I knew he had a list of things he wanted to get done that evening.

Might I interject here for a moment? Guys, make sure whatever car you buy your girlfriend/wife has tire pressure sensors as well as run flats. If I didn't know I was getting a flat, I would have been going ~70-75 on a flat tire in rush hour traffic. Also, the run flats allows me 50-100 miles of driving at less than 50mph to get to a safe place. Run flats can run ~$250-$300 a piece. BUT, you will wish you had spent the money when you are stranded somewhere. Now, I know how to change a tire; I have changed plenty. But 1. I don't have a spare, and 2. there have been times I have had to change a tire in questionable areas. All righty, I will step down from my soap box. (By the way, I am car fanatic, so I love talking about all of this stuff...okay, stepping down, stepping down.)

Needless to say, I was exhausted when I arrived at home. I ended up going to bed at 9:00 and I slept hard for 9 hours straight. I could have slept longer, but I feel well rested now.

I am sad I am not losing any more weight, but I drank a lot of the psyllium shake yesterday and I haven't had a bm yet, so I bet that accounts for some of the remaining weight. By the way, I haven't had a headache throughout this fasting process, but I did yesterday. I read some threads that people get headaches with this psyllium cleanse right before their bodies expel things. I hope it is soon and that it works.

Until tomorrow!

Weight 138.0 / 28.2% bmi
