Hi,
Apparently Evite is making people log in to view the invite, which is obnoxious. So here's the details of the book release party here. If you are even MAYBE interested in coming, let me know - I'll put your name/email into the Evite thingy and you can RSVP there (we've got limited space, that's why we need the RSVPs). Here's the party info:

Join us to celebrate the launch of local author Jill Richardson's book Recipe for America: Why Our Food System is Broken and What We Can Do to Fix It. Recipe for America, available on August 1 from Ig Publishing, is Richardson's plan to make our food system more sustainable using government policies. While she loves participating in San Diego's local food scene and "voting with her fork," Richardson believes that true change is not possible if we don't put policies in place that support the development of a sustainable food system. You can read more about her here or read a recent interview she did about the book. Jill blogs at La Vida Locavore.

The dinner will run from 6pm-8pm on Sunday, August 2 at Sea Rocket Bistro. Guests will enjoy dinner, a book talk, and a drink for $15. Books will be available for $15.

About Sea Rocket Bistro & the dinner:
Sea Rocket Bistro focuses local and sustainable foods, including lots
of seafood, as well as local craft beers and California wines. Open
for dinner every night, we've got a menu of truly local flavor. Some
of our specialties include grilled San Diego sardines, Carlsbad
mussels, clams, and oysters, tuna melts with pole caught American
Tuna, seafood paella, beet-goat cheese-walnut tart, and Fallbrook
macadamia nut pie. Learn more at searocketbistro.com.

Dinner will be $15 for a draft beer (or other $5 drink of your
choice), cup of vegetable soup, and a sandwich. For the sandwich, you
get your choice of a local pastured lamb burger, American Tuna pole
caught tuna melt with Winchester Gouda, or an open-faced mushroom
medley sandwich.

Note: We've capped the number of guests at 25. If more than 25 people wish to attend, we'll open up a 2nd night on Monday August 3.
