Patients' Role in Understanding the New Medicine Paradigm by chef jem .....
It's called "German New Medicine" since it wasn't possible to simply call it "New Medicine".

Dr. Hamer: "All so-called diseases have a special biological meaning. While we used to regard Mother Nature as fallible and had the audacity to believe that She constantly made mistakes and caused breakdowns (malignant, senseless, degenerative cancerous growths, etc.) we can now see, as the scales fall from our eyes, that it was our ignorance and pride that were and are the only foolishness in our cosmos.
Blinded, we brought upon ourselves this senseless, soulless and brutal medicine. Full of wonder, we can now understand for the first time that Nature is orderly ..., and every occurrence in nature is meaningful, even in the framework of the whole, and that the events we called diseases are not senseless disturbances to be repaired by sorcerers apprentices. We can see that nothing is meaningless, malignant or diseased."[1]

"The Profound Spiritual Aspect of Healing"
"German New Medicine is a new paradigm of medicine, but it is also a new consciousness. It is the awareness that our organism possesses an inexhaustible creativity and remarkable self-healing capabilities. It is the recognition that each cell of our body is endowed with a biological wisdom we share with all living creatures.
For generations, the medical authorities have enslaved and imprisoned the human mind with a fear of diseases. The knowledge of the Five Biological Laws allows us to re-connect with Nature and to regain our trust in her creative and intelligent force. Thanks to Dr. Hamer's unfailing integrity and his dedicated research over the past three decades, we have now the key to become free of that fear.
No remedy and no device in the world can 'remove' a conflict. Resolving a conflict is also a process of learning and our chance to grow. The belief that we could bypass this opportunity with remedies or devices of any kind is locked into a paradigm that ignores the profound spiritual aspect of healing.[2]

In "The Abridged New Medicine" (3rd Ed.) by Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer; chapter 3: "The Methodology of the New Medicine we read:
"Future therapies will entail very little medication but will require the patient's understanding of the root cause of his conflict and disease. Together with his doctor, the patient will find the best resolution to his problem or the best strategy in order to avoid repeating it in the future."

Do you think GNM is an idea who's time has come? (Or is this easy for me to say since I have no financial investments in Western Medicine?)
I see the potential for a convivial conversation between GNM and the verywell established Anthroposophical Medicine (AM) that is based on spiritual thinking (introduced by Rudolf Steiner) that physical illness has soul-spiritual causes. Although there is certainly a distinction between the two paradigms. GNM addresses the cause of disease in terms of a sudden "shock conflict"[3] event originating in the psyche. AM considers "soul-spiritual causes" in more biographical terms. The affinity here is they both have fundamental visions of the human being as more than just a physical body.
In GNM one can be encouraged to face and understand "the root cause of his conflict and disease". I'd like to ask an AM practitioner if an illness has it's origins in the soul-spirit then would it be within the paradigm's framework that those conditions can be "treated" before manifesting on a physical level? If so then maybe the impact of "shock conflicts" can be minimized. I say minimized because according to Dr. Hamer "shock conflicts" can't necessarily be avoided.
Nevertheless, we can be enlightened with new understanding of how specific "biological programs" work so that once they have been launched in the body we can focus on the resolution rather than leaving ourselves vulnerable to additional shock conflicts over things such as the meaning of a diagnosis, believing in a doctor's prognosis and/or other beliefs perpetuated by Western medicine.
"Wholeness" and "health" share the same root in a many, many ways. Together they make "whole health". GNM teaches how greater self-awareness of our integrated wholeness can result in greater wellness. GNM is a paradigm that allows us to embraces our integrated wholeness beyond that of any other paradigm (that I know of) and most certainly beyond that of Western Medicine! With an understanding of GNM we can know, for the first time, what truly is happening in our bodies during both the "conflict active" and the "healing" phases of any biological program. That understanding will help us to harmonize with our design of integrated wholeness for greater wellness rather than be in fragmented darkness about what is happening (just in our bodies) and subsequently dependent upon someone who does not know anything about our integrated wholeness, it's sacredness and just how intelligent our biological program is!

Just discovered a book that may be helpful in understanding a fundamental principal in the New Medicine regrading the mind body connection:
"Journey to the Center of the Brain: Explaining Mind In A Universe of Matter"
by Glenn Dudley
"My studies had an overriding objective, that of discovering how the subjective mind was associated with a physical body, specifically in a way that would explain disease as a type of language - where self expression is less by the mouth and more by the language of the body as a whole."[4]

"Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer and the 'German New Medicine'"
By Cal Garrison
"... a person goes into a state of conflict any time they are forced to act in a way that is out of harmony with who they really are and what they really want."[5]
