There are times when
people are so overwhelmed
they will say "No."
just because of that.

Yesterday was a recovery day.
I put out a lot of energy over the weekend.
I did not sleep much from Sunday to Monday
morning. My mind was filled. I woke up
by 4 AM. It did not help that in the midst
of so much to do, I binged. Late night,
I even ate dessert that had sugar.

Sunday was a dream day come true.
The up side of it went according to Plan,
but clearly there seemed Intervention
from Forces in the Universe that supported
the Intention working.

I could not have pulled this off by myself.

I went with Chef Jem to the FM in the morning.
I put out more energy than made sense,
considering that at 4 PM our second
BEET KEEPERS, Return! '09 was scheduled.

The Intention was to have students from SDSU
be here. This happened, an "A+" in that department.
Maybe a couple others I had in mind might have made
it more perfect, that would have been an "A++."

The day was the last day of Mercury Retrograde.
Every ten weeks or so, there is about a three week period
when life forces ask that we be especially mindful
of our incompletions. It can be a rigorous exercise.

I approach life in the spirit that Soul Growth is the point.
What can I learn? What am I being asked to learn?
Mercury Retrograde is an important time to reflect
and also be acutely aware.

Mechanical things that need repair, ask for repair.
Things can breakdown.

A strong current in my life now is the theme of
depletion. I have definitely been burning the candle
at "three ends" if that is possible.

Late last week, The EG Mobile, my 68 VW Van,
started to run the yellow light. I took her in to Mike
at MIKE'S FOREIGN AUTO Friday morning.

He checked her out. The light had to do with the
battery. The battery was depleted, and getting worse.
The Generator and Regulator were not working.
It was a matter of time before the battery went dead
without some kind of intervention.

Of all times, for the EG Mobile to need a Time Out.
I had destinations for Saturday and Sunday.
I started to line up back up plans, at the same
time, Mike, recognizing that I needed the EG Mobile,
rose to the occasion. He was stacked up with work
for at least three weeks, but he came in on Saturday,
a day he normally does not work, to make the repair.

Unbelievable.

He worked on two projects Saturday, including the
EG Mobile. He had to take the engine out.
Mike is a master mechanic. She was ready to be
picked up around 5 PM. P was available. He drove
me down there to pick her up.

Sunday, as I was leaving the FM, I took a moment
to reflect on how difficult it would have been without
her. She was filled to the brim with food, not only for the week
but for the Sunday event.

My bowel was also disquieted. I needed my portapotty
right before I shopped at the FM.

ANGELENE was ready to come to my aid. She left a message
that she would us and pick us up, but she has a small car.

Sunday was the last day of Mercury Retrograde.
That was amazing that it worked out that I could had
the EG Mobile.

I need to stop for a moment now, and reflect on the
Gift of Mike. I need to send him a thank you card.

O.K. , I dd it. Sending him one of my greeting cards
with a butterfly on it. Is postage still 41 cents?

That was not the only rescue that happened
Sunday.

I put out a lot of energy at the FM.
I surrendered to being present, but as the day
went on, I was tired.

Then, I realized. I was shorthanded.
I couldn't pull this off with what I had in mind.
My energy really dropped just thinking about it.
I was with CHEF JEM. He is a master at what he
does in the kitchen, but he is very mindful of his
boundaries and limits. I could not count on him
for what I had in mind. I imagined making a salad.
He does not do salad!

There needed to be a person in the kitchen
between 6-7 PM to overview the making of food.

When we got home I was ready for a nap,
but at the same time I had a number of cleanup tasks
that really were calling.

When company is coming, it always is an eye opener.

I have been putting all my energy into creating other
things this year.

Part of the harvest for me now, is not only
the Successes of dreams fulfilled, but utter
chaos of things not done.

There is a lot of pressure potentially coming
at me from the house, if I reflect on that now.
I am not going to do that right now.

I do want to reflect on ANGELENE.

By the time I came home, I was feeling very tired
and a bit discouraged. I did not see what was needed
as far as support.

Angelene was right there when I came home,
she was prepared to help in the kitchen.
Oh My God! What a gift! I could not have done
this part so effortlessly without her.

I had something else in mind. I saw us all working
together on the food, but MATT SABLOV was in the
living room on a conference call with the
STUDENT SUSTAINABILITY COALITION.

There were numbers of leaders from SDSU, both
current and alumni in the living room.

Not only was ANGELENE available, but she
had invited a few of her friends from
work. She works at RUBY's DINER in Mission Valley.

There was a family who came over.
Angelene asked two of her co-workers to cut
veggies. They were in the dining room prepping
food, while Angelene was in the kitchen putting
put a maximum effort, as if she was at the diner.

The two women in the dining room had never been
here before.

They were a delight. One, named LAURA, had a grandmother
who lived deep in Mexico. Laura described a very simple
lifestyle. When they take showers, it is with buckets of water!

Stopped to call and thank her!!!
Woke her up a bit early....
What a very delightful human being.

10:42 AM

Wow! There goes an hour!!!
I stopped to make a call on my cell
and realized my service had been temporarily
disconnected. I had an overdue bill,
not far in arears.

I paid it, and had the service restored.
Then, I went to record the charge in Quicken,
and that file is not opening as it normally does.

I have spend an hour, closing files on my computer,
mainly Safari. It is amazing where I have been in my
surfing since I last closed files. My mind has been
all over the map.

This is a good exercise and integrating.
That is what this blog is about.

I do not want to skip steps in my organic growth
even though I have a number of pressing deadlines
I want to complete.

1. Sunday event.
2. FIC
3. Pcom poster to move that along...story I wrote last week.

Thank God, I have this Blog where I record sometimes
meticulously my process from day to day.
It is good to review where I have been during
this Mercury Retrograde. It ended Sunday.
It takes days to pull out.


Part of my disappointment
was how perfectly Sunday feel into place
in spite of some stuff that happened that
took my energy down.

My stuff came up yesterday that I want
to clear today.

I am suppose to leave in forty minutes
to pick up some shelves with Chef Jem
at Jensen's.

I wanted to get one complete here with the photos
from Sunday.

Disappointment:

Some folks who came said they would come over yesterday
to garden. They did not show up. They did not call.
There is some clearing I want to do as well with JM.

"shoe laces." metaphor.
"tight...anal...etc."
"confess" word...

is postage still 41 cents???

Postage is now 44 cents!!
I dropped off three things with
VANESSA as they were closing the door.
What competency....
They are in the mail...
She mailed them and put them on my account.
Extraordinary service at
COLLEGE POSTAL EXPRESS
here in San Diego.

I need to go easier on the promises
made Sunday to come over.
Lots of people are going through
catching up with the end of Mercury Retrograde.

Be Grateful, Leslie, for how well it did turn out,
and keep going, in spite of disappointments.
