Spent a few hours on campus last night at San DIego State University.
It was election night for e3, This is from the e3 website: http://www.clube3.org/

Enviro-Business Society (aka e3) is a Non-Profit Organization [501(c)(3)] and environmental advocacy group at San Diego State University. Enviro-business society offers students of all majors a unique and beneficial way to make a positive environmental impact on campus, in the community and in the business world. e3 promotes modern business practices that maximize both profit and a sustainable future. We believe that at the core of this revolutionary new business model there are three pillars which must always be upheld: ecology, ethics and economics.

One of the 3e students who I met when our Enchanted Garden Intentional Community had a table at the recent SDSU Earth Day was HOLLY HELLERSTEDT. She attended the CULTIVATION FOOD JUSTICE CONFERENCE last weekend, an event that brought together a powerful community from diverse groups who all want to work together to move sustainable projects along in San Diego. I again spent some time with Holly and a number of the other e3 students who attended the VERY IMPORTANT PLANET RECEPTION at our San Diego ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES green building, May 6.

Holly was one of three candidates running for President of e3 last night. Yesterday morning, she came over here and we took photos. She accepted The Vice President role for e3 last night. I am taking a keen interest in this remarkable group of students who I consider the Green leaders now and for tomorrow.

I am getting to know a number of these students, including MATT NELSON, who orchestrated the first ever SDSU Farmers' Market, that was part of the SDSU EARTH DAY, April 22, 09.

I am very impressed with the students I am meeting who are part of this group. I see the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community being a place where these students can round out their education doing down to earth gardening as well as learning more about day to day nutritional practices, and the skills we all are being asked to learn now to live in a sustainable world.

I also plan to mentor a few of these students each year. Through my resources in the Green World--that including people like ANTHONY ZOLEZZI, sustainability expert, one of the founders of GREENOPS, I want to help co-create a seamless experience for some of the e3 student graduates, taking them from on campus leadership bootcamp experiences to jobs in sustainable careers.

There is a Web Gallery of photos from the SDSU Earth Day on my Mobile Me. Here is the PLANT YOUR DREAM BLOG LINK where you can find the Web Gallery Link: http://www.curezone.com/blogs/fm.asp?i=1403096

Yesterday morning Holly visited our property, within walking distance of SDSU. It was a very special day, the day one of my favorite cactus bloomed. I have had this plant for more than 20 years. It blooms generally for one day. It is still blooming today, a second day. I will be uploading some photos here as well soon of the visit of Holly to the Enchanted Garden here yesterday.

32 Million budget????

That's the amount of money the entire Associated Students has to work with. They are doing lots of sustainability projects on Campus.
I met one of the campus leaders last night.

I am looking forward to learning more...
