FOOD FAIR '09, a landmark cooperative
project at the SAN DIEGO EARTH FAIR '09
won four fingers up from KEEP The BEET MEDIA
Star, The World's FIrst Talking Beet Plant.
She only has four fingers, so that all fingers up!

IAN MILLER, of the BACKYARD FOOD GROWERS
PROJECT at the CITY HEIGHTS FARMERS' MARKET
combined forces with other local gardens,
Farms, Food & Community, to demonstrate
an incredible cooperative effort.

a garden that rose on the lawn
of Balboa Park in the Food sales area
off President's way. Next to VICTORY GARDENS
SAN DIEGO was a fabulous new launching
of ECOLESENCE, from SHELLY STEWART and
DAWN MARTIN. JASON STEWART, Shelly's
husband, was part of that team.

On the other side
of the garden were representatives
from SLOW FOODS URBAN SAN DIEGO.
There next big event is
STAGECOACH DAYS DINNER
in OLD TOWN SAN DIEGO HISTORIC PARK,
June 28, 2009.

for the upcoming CULTIVATING FOOD JUSTICE
CONFERENCE set for May 1, 2 at SAN DIEGO CITY COLLEGE.

Many of the leaders who have their heart
set on a San Diego that gardens, supports,
food justice, and honors our local, organic farmers.

KEEP The BEET had three of her sisters
in the garden. Rooting for a Moment of Awakening
that has our entire city celebrating its local, organic
farmers, KEEP The BEET had me testing out
a new WATER FOR LOCAL FARMERS PETITION DRIVE,
that is basically the Brainchild of BARRY LOGAN
of LA MILPA ORGANICA FARM.

KEEP The BEET Media Star, has been focusing her
attention on her Hollywood Projects of late,
told me that the Food Fair was a great
opportunity for her to Root for some of the
local projects here on the PLANT YOUR DREAM BLOG.

Among those she spoke to Sunday were:
AMELIA ROACHE, a longtime friend of the Beat,
and new friend ANDREA MAGEE who leads up
the CITY HEIGHTS FARMERS MARKET and works
for the INTERNATIONAL RESCUE COMMITTEE.

KATE MCDERVITT, of SLOW FOODS URBAN
SAN DIEGO, signed the petition for water for
local Farmers as did ANITA BOEN, an old friend
on the garden path. Other signers included
JULIA DASHE and BOB GREENAMAYER.

Most of the local leaders will be participating
in the CULTIVATING FOOD JUSTICE CONFERENCE.

conference and will liikely have an honored place
on BILL TALL's Table. Bill, of CITY FARMERS NURSERY
is one of KEEP The BEET's buddies.

GREENOPS, a new Recycling Redemption project
that launches on Earth Day. GrEENOPOLIS is the
Social Network site. I am sure there are going
to be companies using plastic blottles for years.
This is a great project to make sure that those

MUDDY POTTING SOIL
