Why the Iphone is the Next Best Thing to the Moleskine Journal by ren .....
Intellectual power tools...Apple iPhone and Moleskine Journal
Date: 4/19/2009 7:57:30 AM ( 15 y ago)
I'm sitting here doing morning devotionals for the first time in a long time. When I first started school, I was very strict about getting up saying the Rosary, reading and doing yoga. My friend Sara had a great thread about things we remember and I remember how much of a struggle last year was. Oh but this year is so sweet because being an LPN is just the intellectual stimulating job that I needed.
I gifted myself with an Apple iPhone. Best two hundreds I ever spent that and a brand new Cannondale bicycle ($400). I decided to use the iPhone as the topic of discussion to unearth this blog into my intellectual home away from home. There are no Starbucks here to shameless flaunt my iPhone. No one is impressed by the iPhone or fancy journals. It's fishing season and that'll be the topic of another blog entry.
The intellectual and not so intellectual apps on my Apple iPhone:
facebook
magic marbles
female monthly calendar
ipills
run keeper free
constitution
wikipanion
ihandy level
aol radio
brain tutor
labyrinth
sleepmaker lite
skype
shakespeare
douay rheims bible (I have a better version on my palm tx)
epocrates (I've used this at work)
bubblewrap (addictive!)
koi pond (excellent!)
buddha box (hardly used it)
ewhite noise (it's okay)
power nap (highly recommend!)
quick voice ( this could be good for work to take notes)
just light
google earth (very very good on the iPhone)
twitterfon
streaks (excellent productivity app!)
urbanspoon (would be great for visiting my mom in NY)
I have a number of other activity apps I'm going to test. There is no 3G access here but Edge is really fast in this area. It might not be in the NYC.
