Environmental Initiatives
We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and are taking steps towards being the greenest and cleanest trade show in the industry.

A sampling of our efforts include:
Purchasing Green Certificates to make All Things Organic™ a carbon-neutral event for the past four years.
Working with our trade show partners and vendors to offset their emissions as well.
Giving attendees & exhibitors the option to "green" their travel by offsetting fossil fuels used to travel to Chicago.
Offsetting energy used for all hotel rooms in the All Things Organic™ block.
Donating food to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. In 2007 they collected 16,812 pounds of food - the equivalent of 12,650 meals.
Requiring exhibitors to use recycled & biodegradable sampleware on show floor.
Serving organic food and beverages on china rather than disposables at all events.
Providing organic cotton drapes for all booths.
Using recycled paper and soy-based inks for marketing materials.
Providing a paperless Exhibitor Service Kit.
Reusing onsite signage and our canvas banners whenever possible.
Making public transportation available onsite.
Providing exhibtors/media with a paperless-press room on-site at the show, hosting all releases online.
Using electric rather than diesel machinery for show installation whenever possible.
Working with our vendors to enhance their environmentally-friendly efforts, such as initiating recycling efforts throughout McCormick Place, increasing the organic food offerings of facility caterers, asking Freeman decorating to provide eco-booths and recycled carpet options,
and more!
We are always looking for additional ways to green the conference and trade show. Do you have an idea to share? Please email mpotter@ota.com.
