Mischief in the Garden by YourEnchantedGardener .....

Mischief in the garden. I could not find the new ECO-USABLE Stainless Steel Bottle anywhere today. KEEP the BEET had it with her in the garden. She was using it as a lure to get me off the computer and take some time appreciating nature outside.

Couldn't find my new Eco-Usable Food grade Stainless steel
refillable bottle today. The new advanced model filtering system
is especially good for hikers and backpackers. The company
has extraordinary models on the market that transform tap water.
The bottles have filtering systems that are really great.

The new spout above as well as the other models take out
99.99% of the contaminants in water
including chlorine, sand, sediment.

The latest improvement also takes out
cryplosporidium, giardia, and other cysts and spores.

IT can be used not only for tap water, as all the other models,
but also for rivers, streams, and lakes.
The only water it will not transform
so far is salt water, but leave KEEP The BEET
tells me she is going to give that idea some
thought.

To cut to the chase,
KEEP the BEET Media Star had taken my new
model with her to
the garden!

This is too much!

Who can a person trust these days?

We had a serious talk about this.

She says she noticed there was an entire
rack of Eco-Useable stainless steel bottles down
at our local Whole Foods
Market the other day.

From the standpoint of eliminating the use of
plastic bottles, and the cost of bottled water,
these stainless steel bottles will save money
in the long run.

This bottle in particular is part
of the new advanced filtering system that MARK WOLLMAN was
telling me about over the phone when last we emailed. JOEY
MENDELSOHN, the creator of this company, ECO-USEABLE
has a product that is really good for people.

I like the whole idea of this product line.
You can see photos of it here on their website.

I met STEVEN STARR who made the film FLOW
at the HOLLYWOOD GOES GREEN Conference last December.
He introduced me to RENEÉ MAAS, the local organizer
for FOOD and WATER WATCH.

Steven and Renee alerted me to the fact that it is time
to take back our tap. The Eco-Usable water bottle is a step
in the right direction. This refillable bottle can handle more
than 100 gallons. The latest advance--this one that KEEP the BEET
was coveting--has a new kind of spout for easy use.

I do not know why KEEP the BEET took my bottle
but when we talked she told me that she was upset that
I am sitting at the computer so many hours a day,
just like so many "Normal" humans in the good 'Ol
US of A are doing.

She was encouraging me to Blog on this.
The new Eco-Useable Stainless Steel bottle
can take out toxic chemicals, detergents, pesticides,
and other harmful industrial and agricultural wastes
that can be frequently found in our water supply these days.

Is there any wonder cancer rates are so high?

Aluminum, asbestos, copper, lead, Radon 222--all
these can be taken out by the new filtering system.

Oh well, how can I blame KEEP the BEET for knowing
what is good, and she did get me out into the garden today.
The ultimate question, from KEEP The BEET: What are all
these substances, we are attempting to get rid of,
doing in our life in the first place?????

KEEP the BEET says, she is calling for a Moment of Awakening
that will begin when we start to reconnect with nature.
Growing a bit of our own food can help us each do this.
Here is here program:

There is a definite trend that aims to take a stand on our
plastic waste. I have been writing about the PERF GO Green
stand for the last month. Their goal is to take old plastic
bags and waste and turn it into new bags that will biodegrade
in two years or less. The guys from Eco-Useable are on the same
page.

Here are some press clippings I found interesting:

coUsables Stainless Steel Bottles Featured on Martha Stewart TV Show & Website
Hermosa Beach, CA (October 23, 2008) - EcoUsable was featured on Martha Stewart's TV show and website on October 22, along with Dr. Marcus Eriksen from the "Junk" – a raft created by the Algalita Marine Research Foundation made of plastic water bottles that sailed from California to Hawaii to raise awareness about the danger of plastics in our oceans. EcoUsable was a sponsor of the raft and tied 150 stainless steel water bottles filled with drinking water for the crew. Together on the Martha Stewart show and website, Dr. Eriksen and EcoUsable are asking the public to take action and help eliminate single-use plastics.
