Plastic Waste Covers Farmland by YourEnchantedGardener .....
Richard Makau of Kenya, part of the WATER FOR CHILDREN AFRICA project, told me he knows farm land in his homeland of Kenya that is inundated with Plastic Waste. Once fertile, the land now grows no food. KEEP the BEET Media Star, The World's First Talking Beet Plant, has a different vision.

Met a man Saturday at the SUPER RUN,
the 5 & 10 K event here in San Diego.
He has been working with my friend
VICKIE BUTCHER with the WATER FOR CHILDREN AFRICA Project.
They were one of the beneficiaries of the race.
FATIMOH MOHAMMED, an Olympic Hopeful for 2012,
ran second in the 5k among the women. 5k is not her event.
She runs the 800K, about a 1/2 mile. A 5K is more than 3 Miles.
The man I met, RICHARD MAKAU, of Kenya, told me
that he could take me to places in his country where
there is farmland, that once grew food stables of corn and beans,
that is now covered with pastic waste. It cannot grow anything.
My friend TONY TRACY of Perf Go Green has a vision of
collecting plastic waste and turning it into Recycled plastic Trash
bags that will not last 800 years, but two years when send back
to nature.
The 21.0 Foundation, Perf Go Green's non-profit wing,
aims to do that. I saw an excerpt form TERRY TOROK's film
EARTH TO GO, that shows little kids in Africa with Perf Go Green
Trash bags picking up litter.
I am going to ask Terry to uplod that excerpt from his film
to Utube.
This photo of is RIchard Makau of Kenya with some of his
children and nephews.
KEEP the BEET Media Star,
the World's First Talking Beet plant has a vision--
She wants to see just one bit of that farmland not only
cleared of plastic, but turned into an Enchanted Garden
of growing organic plants.
Now that is sometihng to behold!!!!
FATIMOH MOHAMMED is an Olympic Hopeful for 2012.
