conference, December 2008. That was where Keep The Beet
hooked up for the first time with Tony Tracy of
Bambooies Diaper fame, and a host of Hollywood Greenies,
including noted filmmaker Paige Donner, winner of
an Academy Award, 2018.

Much constructive conversation took place during breaks, at the wine reception, sponsored by Mendocino Wine Commission, and throughout the conference. And though the lackluster economy was in evidence this year, the real decisionmakers showed up and turned out for the Hollywood Goes Green Conference to further the dialogue and deepen the work. And on a very earthy note, The Enchanted Gardener (aka Leslie Goldman), who was everywhere at the conference with KEEP the BEET Media Star, The World's First Talking Beet Plant, said "I am committed and excited about my project to create a nation of gardeners."

Even Governor Schwarzenegger sent in his well wishes,
in the form of a letter addressed to attendees, which read,

KEEP The BEET Media Star was tickled to have her introduction to
the Hollywood Green Community quoted on Paige's Blog. KEEP the BEET
Media Star is a fan of California Governor ARNOLD SCHWATZENEGGER
because of his support last year for the Garden's in the Schools Program.
She saw the Governor at BIO, the Global Biotechnology Conference held
in San Diego in June. KEEP the BEET Media Star sez she is looking forward
to her next meeting with the Calif Gov. She wants to talk to him about
more support for locally grown organic farmers. KEEP the BEET sez this
is an issue of Earth-Based Homeland Security. KEEP the BEET Media Star
is sez she is also looking to speak at next year's California Women's Conference
that is coordinated by the lovely MARIA SCHRIVER, the wife of the Gov
and an avid Obama supporter in the last election.
