Farm Bill Passes. Includes some Organic Provisions.

The Farm Bill has passed into its final version.

Dear Farm Bill Forum Members,

We have received word that that HR 6124, the final version of the Conference Report on the Farm Bill containing all fifteen titles, was successfully passed yesterday over the veto of the President. The Senate voted 80 to 14 to override.

All fifteen titles are now federal law.

Your work has made the difference in getting the organic sections of this bill. Congratulations to you all.

OTA will continue to work for productive implementation of all the provisions that can enhance organic production.
