Automatic savings:  Of at least;  10 percent of your paycheck goes into a high-yield account with withdrawal penalties.  So you keep your fingers off of it except in an emergency... 

Subscribe to groceries: Amazon has a “Subscribe and Save” program that allows you to set up a subscr*iption to common household goods. For things you need on a regular basis, a subscr*iption can save you some last-minute dashes to the store.  Any type plan will help you better use your resources, and it is a green idea...

Accountability partners: This is a good one for people working toward long-term goals. Find someone to ask you regularly how you’re really doing. It will eventually be more stressful to not do something.  A good check and balance works well...

Habits: Building any positive behavior into a habit -- such as writing first thing in the morning or going to the gym after work -- is a great use of inertia.  Once established, it becomes harder to break your habit than to just do it.  If you do something for more than 60 days it becomes a habit, then if positive it adds to your life...
