Starting off slowly. Feel free to comment!

As if I haven't learned anything from previous experience, I have given in to most temptations in the past half a year. After my second fast with mum I stuck to a very good diet for quite a few months, and have managed to keep all dairy out of my own cookings - the only dairy I have comes from foods I do not prepare at home, such as eating out.
However my life turned turbulent again round December, and I also started a short-term, physically demanding job for which I had to increase my meal sizes. For that reason I also had to give up fasting every Tuesday, since after one try I almost fell asleep by lunchtime.
So all in all I did get to fast every Tuesday for two or three months, and that's about as long as my very healthy lifestyle lasted. But come Xmas, and I took a risk I shouldn't have. I thought it would be easy to go back to restricting myself from all the goodies I allowed myself, but nah, it turned out to be a bitch of a challenge!
Surprisingly my 'depression' didn't show any signs of re-emerging during the winter although I experienced possibly the most painful relationship break-up so far. But now that the sun has started to shine again, to my surprise I have found myself curiously down. Physically I also feel quite unwell, I haven't had much chances to exercise at all - it's definitely time for a proper fast. One so thorough, that I will not want to get back to this waste-of-time-lifestyle ever again.
I haven't decided on exactly how long I intend to keep on with the fast, but it's definitely going to be over a week this time.
There's some stress around once again, since my life seems to have permanently turned into a funfair. I will be moving houses a week into the fast, and until then I am living at a friend's house. Luckily this friend has decided to fast with me! It will be her first time, so I'll be the lucky one to look after her. Plenty to organise, then!
The pre-week will be slightly shorter than 7 days since I just returned from... yes, a booze cruise, anyone who knows me well enough also knows my alcoholic ways. Which I intend to change once and for all. I have successfully and disastrously passed the May Day season (this year containing of a whole six days of plain boozing), so this is the time - it's now or never before the Midsummer Festival season, and my short summer holiday.
I'll leave yesterday's eatings and drinkings out, so, today I have had a cuppa soup and then a big bowl of artichoke-carrot-potato soup, then a small sandwich, and a few prunes. Quite a lot for it's only 4pm now, but I've been hungry. Haven't been very thirsty though, have drank quite a lot less water than usual. Probably because of my sore throat, I got a bit cold last night.
Addition: Met a friend in the evening, and due to the nature of this new acquaintance agreed to eat in some crappy Chinese buffet. Didn't finish the plate though, so at least I didn't overeat on the stuff. Gotta find something positive.
Two small beets from a jar in the evening. Well, at least they were all soaked in yummy vinegar.
