Q. When are the 2008 Flower Show Office hours?
A. February-March: Wednesday & Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM
April-May 4: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM
May 5-June 13: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM, Saturday, 8:00AM-2:00PM

Fairtime hours:
June 14-July 6, Daily, 8:00AM-5:00PM
(Note that Fair and the Flower Show office are closed June 16 & 23)
July 7-16, 9:00AM– 5:00PM
Q. Who can enter the show?
A. Anyone who gardens or works with plants can enter. This includes: individual gardeners, nurseries, contractors, garden clubs, schools, professional designers, families, amateur and professional floral designers and more.
Q. What does it cost?
A. That depends on what you enter. It can cost as little as a $7.00 processing fee to enter a single bloom, or much more to enter a large garden.
Q. Are there prizes for the best flowers and gardens?
A. Definitely. Cash prizes go up to $500.00, plus there are ribbons, plaques and trophies. Everyone who enters receives passes to the Fair. Businesses have the advantage of having their work seen by hundreds of thousands of Fairgoers.
Q. How do I enter?
A. You can enter online, or you can print out the entry form, fill it in, and mail it to the address provided in the handbook.
Q. What if I read the Competition Information and there is something I don't understand?
A. Call the Flower and Garden show office at 858-792-4273 or send email to flowershow@sdfair.com.
Q. How can someone get Competition Information if he or she doesn't have a computer?
A. Call the Flower and Garden Show office at 858-792-4273.
Q. Are there any special events at the show?
A. Every day there are gardening speakers and floral demonstrations on the Flower Show Stage. Non-profit plant groups can sign up for their special day at the show.
