A serious Matzah shortage
is now underway in the cities of Los Angeles and in the Bay Area.
Matzah, the Bread of Affliction is no where to be found
on many shopping shelves, causing severe trauma within
some members of the Jewish Community, who do not
know how to survive Passover--a symbolic trek out of
Misery--without the Bread of Affliction.
Earlier this week, in a Historic Move,
on the Third Night of Passover Seder,
noted Enchanted Gardener Leslie Goldman
once again featured No Matzah at the annual
"Don't Eat the Matzah Hippie Dippie Second Annual Enchanted Garden Seder.
Maybe God no longer is asking the Jewish People to suffer,
suggested Your Enchanted Gardener in response to the
shortage of Matzah.
The News of the Matzah Shortage came in an email
to Your Enchanted Gardener from
the Crisis Response Team from the
office of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa
Homeland Security & Public Safety branch.

Hey Kevin,
This may not make the front page, but there appears to be a matzo shortage, at least in the Los Feliz area. My semi-observant Jewish wife is getting a bit desperate and has called around town. A manager at Gelson’s told my wife that there’s some problem at the Manischewitz factory that’s had a ripple effect throughout the area. This is anecdotal, of course, but my wife has called Ralph’s and Vons and heard the same story. The manager at Vons in Silverlake says that he tried to secure a few cases for valued customers, but no luck.
I have urged my wife to mix together flour, water and salt to create her own unleavened bread, but she has resisted. She tends to get bit edgy without a carb fix.
