A changed woman...

And, I feel AMAZING. I meant to post yesterday but somehow never got around to doing so.
My last day of the MC was yesterday and I had the ULTIMATE test of will in the evening. I've mentioned in this blog before that the best thing that you can do to stay true to the Master Cleanse is to stay away from social situations in which there is food (or wine, etc.). Well, sadly, I was thrust into a work related social situation (a friend's wine bar opening) and was truly put to the test. I was there with my business partner and he kept laughing that he felt so badly for me because about every couple of minutes a server would come by where we were seated and offer up gorgeous hors d'ouevres on a plate to me. A glass of wine was placed in front of me but I just toyed with it to seem polite and didn't touch a drop. Nor did I have any of the food even when they actually placed an entire platter of it on the coffee table in front of us. YAY!!!!!!!!!!
I decided to stop because I was losing too much weight. I actually lost almost 12 lbs in 7 days and my face was looking a tiny bit gaunt. It's all good. We broke the fast this morning with watered down freshly squeezed oj and I made a roasted veggie soup and we've been drinking the broth. Delish!!!!
My whole attitude is so improved. Not that it was bad before, but I am just amazed how I feel. I never felt this changed after my other cleanses. I have a photo on my computer desk of me at 2 years of age and feel that I am once again that little girl, simply grown up. I missed that for so long, but I feel it now. Everyone has noticed the change and I am so grateful that it's happened. Life is beautiful, yes.
May do this again in August when the weather is blistering and feeling cold won't be an issue. In the meantime, I think I will focus on thriving.
