Got to speak with
Andy Mitchell,
Sales Manager for Pet Promise.
Andrew S. Mitchell,
he is a jewel of a guy!

Andy is part of my healing team for 2008.
Yes, we can grow a New Earth one plant
and one person at a time, remembering how to
grow our Seed Dreams according to the Laws
that All plants follow.
This, my friend, is the essence of Plant Parenthood.
Do what the Plants do...some sunshine, some good soil,
good water, air...things naturally grow.
Andy was my last stop
at the recent Natural Product Expo West.
He said YES when I asked if he would
like one of the Sunflower Images in his office.
I offered him a size 24 x 36. She wanted to know
if they came bigger????
Andy thinks big.
He is my kind of guy.
They have a lovely card
with Green pet tips.

But what do a cow, a farmer and a dog have in common?
“In order for family farmers to survive, they need to be able to sell more of their non-prime meats at a premium,” says Anthony Zolezzi, who pioneered the Pet Promise initiative. “So we set out to develop a pet food using protein strictly sourced from these natural meat ranchers and farmers.”
With that vision in mind, Zolezzi and a small group of forward-thinking leaders created Pet Promise, a brand of pet food, which includes dry and wet formulas for dogs and cats. Pet Promise guarantees pet owners that the food is free of animal byproducts, added growth hormones or antibiotics, rendered or recycled meats and fats, brain or spinal tissue, or any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. But the product also serves as a solution to an economic struggle that has faced family farmers for decades -- providing an outlet for the sale of their non-prime meats at a premium price-- making the raising of natural livestock economically feasible.
Last year, Pet Promise helped support over 1,200 family farmers. Next year, the company plans to expand that number to over 3,000 family farmers. Pet Promise is certainly one “underdog” that is starting to make a huge impact for family farmers, a cause that Zolezzi believes more consumers and companies can join.
“The more we support sustainable farming on every level, the more we will see a change and then everyone wins,” says Zolezzi.
Each purchase of Pet Promise directly supports American family farmers and ranchers who adhere to sustainable ranching practices by keeping added hormones and antibiotics out of meat and poultry
