Stephen Brooks with his Dad Norman Brooks. I was touched by their relationship when I first saw Stephen interacted by phone with his dad last Spring. I met Norman this year. It was a healing moment for me. I asked if I might adopt him as my own dad. He said yes.

Dad and Son Team.
Last Spring, the day after Earth Fair San Diego,
I went to visit Stephen Brooks when the
Conscious Goods Alliance Bus was at our
local Whole Foods Market Hillcrest.
Stephen is Co-CEO of
Kopali Organics.

Stephen showed me a travel film of
strange and wonderous fruits and lifestyle
in Costa Rica. He seems so very fluid in his life.
He is the co- organizer for the Conscious Goods Alliance Bus
that has just entered its second year traveling around the country.
They pay visits to Whole Foods Markets along the way.
The bus itself demonstrates another way to fuel
our vehicles and much more. IT runs on vegetable oil
as well as deisel, I believe.
I was sitting across from Stephen as he was in a conversation
with his dad back home, who is also a prime mover in the company.
I could not help but compare this to my experience with my own father
who was not present too often during my growing up years.
I was very moved experiencing the interaction between
Stephen and his dad Norman. They were on the same team.
They were intimately interacting doing business together.
I had the feeling that part of Stephen's success was
an outgrowth of the Dad-Son Relationship.
At this year's NPEW, I was moved to meet Norman
who came to visit pay a visit to Stephen and the Conscious Goods Alliance Bus.
We had some quality time together.
I had the Sunflower image on a stand.
Norman is going to have a 24 x 36 in his office
in Florida. It was a thrill for me. We planted
Seed Dreams together.

They use the words "Conscious Commerce"...
I started using that in the late 70's...With each dollar we
spend we can raise up consciousness that much.
Nice story on Stephen:
