thoughts in preparing for beginning of challenge

Got the blog set up. Never blogged before, not so hard afterall. Already my heart is pounding. Can I do it? - my inner voice asks. All the words of wisdom I've ever heard come back - one breath at a time; you don't have to do it all right now, just this moment; there's nothing to fear but fear itself; be courageous and dare to be the person you know you already are. All-righty-then.

There is boldness in action, I've been told, genius even.

Time is precious and so am I. It's time to stop running from myself, my life and the hardship of change. I have a lot of dreams to realize, so many more left in the dream bank than on the pillow when I wake up. No pressure, though.

Don't look back.

I'll spend tomorrow (Friday) planning menus, shopping for food, and setting aside the time needed in my schedule each day to do the work necessary to succeed in food preparation and eating slowly and deliberately rather than when driving and working. A couple of emergency support tactics will be a must - I live with quite a few professional carnivores. Big leaguers.

Whether I back out or not, Saturday will come and go. I am not willing to just let another day go by as though it really was just another day. I want to face the unknown of myself, the weak and the strong.

What a gift to have this format! The whole world, whether it knows it or not, is kind of right beside me here - in a technological sort of way. Buddhism, of course, teaches that the whole world and I are never and have never been separate - it's just an illusion on my part.

Time for bed. It's late.

:-)
