On Day 6 I still feel good, and think I was healthier to begin with than I realized.

Good news! Today I was able to slip right into my skinny jeans with no problem! I haven't fit into those pants in months! (They are W29, L31) =)
I drank the same juice from yesterday's batch, supplemented with some flax seed oil (1 tbsp), and added 2 tsp psyllium husk powder twice to my juice. I had a BM of good proportions today. Not to be gross, but it seems it may have contained some of the impacted fecal matter that I've been wanting to clear out. If this psyllium husk powder is doing that, then I won't have to buy any of those expensive supplements like Oxy Powder that I was considering.
I had a little Garden Patch green juice, and added some Apple Cider Vinegar to my regular juice (about 1-2 tsp). Miso soup was for dinner, and had a few cups of herbal tea throughout the day.
Not feeling hungry, although I caught myself mindlessly considering munching on some olives while preparing someone else's salad. I'm going to really enjoy those olives when I start eating again!
Went for a 30 minute walk in the park. I think it is definitely helping my circulation, as my hands have not been falling asleep at night anymore. My walking buddy who is also my acupuncturist says I need to strengthen my heart muscle.
They say you start having spiritual epiphanies around day 6, well I didn't notice any. Maybe I'm just so in the flow usually that there isn't much difference, or it is yet to come.
My boyfriend keeps trying to convince me that I'm perfectly healthy already whenever I mention a new health regime I want to try, or a new naturopath I want to go see. Because I haven't noticed any dramatic changes during this juice fast, I'm starting to think he may be right. Since my diet is usually pretty good, maybe my occasional indulgences are being handled just fine by my body. I figured since I've only been eating really well for the last couple of years, I'd have lots of damage to repair from the 26 years before that. (i.e. There was a long period in high school I remember eating nothing but cup o' noodle for lunch, and lots of fast food.) Having quit smoking cigarettes nearly 2 years ago (after smoking for 10 yrs), it may have given me the immune boost I needed.
I still think a weekly 1-day juice fast would benefit me, even if I have underestimated my health status. At least I could continue to fit into my skinny jeans. I'm going to ride this out until day 10 and see what other benefits I might notice.
