Day five Figuring it out

Date:   12/5/2007 12:07:26 PM ( 17 y ago)

Well, I made it through the plane ride with chamomille tea. It wasn't quite the nightmare I had imagined. I made a few changes to my airport routine. Step 1 Arrive later leaving no time to drink and eat. Step 2. Stop in terminal and buy book on juicing. Even though that is my specific situation, I think that each person has to do that on their fast, just make the small necessary adjustments to your old habits to accomodate the fast. Its not the end of the world and your body will thank you. Today hasn't been bad because my hubby is doing three day juice fast since I am home to be supportive. He is no stranger to juicing as he and my mom did juicing and all raw to get him ready for our wedding in 06'. I am not pushing him to be strict fasting though so he is eating the vegetables from my potassium broth. I am sharing this because I am sure there are people out there who would like to incorporate there juice fast into there families routine. We don't have kids yet but here is what I did for my hubby and I today.

Breakfast
Me-apple,blueberry,rasberry,strawberry juice
Hubby- poured same juice into blender with three bananas and made him a smoothie(little more filling)

Lunch-
Me-Veggie Potassium Broth, Kale, red cabbage, red potato, carrot, squash, zucchi, onion, parsley
Hubby- Made organic wild rice and added to left over veggie broth to make soup. For him I added sea salt and one can of low sodium chicken broth for flavor.
Keep in mind that these are not recipes...I was trying to be creative in my kitchen so I didn't throw all of those veggies away.

Dinner-
More veggie broth for me
hubby- Made him pasta from the pantry and mixed in vegetables and a pureed organic tomato for sauce
